MEET STATS: 142 - 476 / $987.20

Best Bet:  VALLEY IVAN (2nd)       Spot Play: SIR LBS Z TAM (3rd)

Race 1

(4) SCARLET SPURS posted a solid 2012 debut mile and doesn't exactly face any killers tonight. (5) CLASSIC FILLY comes off a win and has some ability. (8) WAR CRY HALL was sued early and flat late in his most recent try. He could certainly be sharper in his second start off the bench.

Race 2

(4) VALLEY IVAN has looked very good in the AM and should be able to tackle this bunch. (5) NO FROSTING was stakes placed as a 2yo; has talent. (8) SOUTH JERSEY BUGSY comes with some early zip and can get at least a piece.

Race 3

(3) SIR LBS Z TAM showed me good pace in her qualifiers and almost got the job done at a big price last time. I'm going to stick with her here. (6) MS BETTYS HOPE gets a nice piece each week. (7) BETTOR B LUCKY might have the most talent of this group. I just can't see her being used hard when bigger spots await down the road. (1) IVE GOT A FEELING could improve in her second start off the bench.

Race 4

My main question in here is whether everyone is bringing their A game when they will make the final regardless of performance. If so, (5) HOT SHOT BLUE CHIP is my clear pick. He has looked good while being handled very patiently and is ready for a big mile. (1) WINNING MISTER & (7) BIG RIGS are sharp and have speed; must consider.

Race 5

(6) MR CANDYMAN posted a convincing win in his career debut. This barn usually brings live horses to town. (9) SHANTY IRISH qualified back well enough but may find quite a few early leavers to her inside. (8) EXERCISE TO GO has shown flashes of ability in her career. If she matured over the winter, watch out!

Race 6

(4) DAY BLUE CHIP only raced once as a 2yo and won going away impressively. Her connections immediately called it a season to prepare for her sophomore campaign. Off two good morning efforts, I can see her being ready to win. (3) PIROUETTE HANOVER won more last year than the rest of the field combined. (8) JAMIE SUE ships down from Woodbine in form. (1) ARODASI picks up Sears; maybe.

Race 7

(1) GHIRARDELLI LINDY rallied nicely just to get into contention in his Julie Miller barn debut. Improvement is certainly likely. (3) LINDY MCDREAMY got the jump on the top one when they last meet; threat. (6) FASHION ASTRAL & (8) TAKE HEART have both been off since November but seem capable on paper.

Race 8

(5) DOUBLE MAJOR was under a tight hold in her first qualifier and it is worth mentioning that there was a strong wind at Gaitway in her latest effort. I can see a victory at a price. (8) BLACKJACK PRINCESS has plenty of success here last year. (1) KISS DONT BITE couldn't have looked much better in her qualifier; very game. (7) GOTTASEEABOUTAGIRL might have too many to pass in here

Race 9

(6) CELEBRITY PLAYBOY looked good winning last time; edge. (2) DOUBLE UP HANOVER only has to stay trotting to get a win; tough call. (10) CHAPLIN HALL has a shot if he can find an early tuck.

Race 10

(1) IDONETTE doesn't make me want to run to the windows but does deserve the nod. (3) VOLUPTUOUS RONDA qualified back nicely. (2) VANITY TREASURE displayed some ability at two but might need a start.

Race 11

(2) COCO LINDY is certainly capable at this level and he outdraws his competition. (7) REV IT NOW won easily at Yonkers. This spot is not that much tougher. (6) ZUMBA MOUSE could blow by these late if she is feeling good.

Race 12

(6) FULL PICTURE gets some much needed class relief. (2) DRAGON PRINCESS drops to the level of her last score. (1) NITE GAMES has been sharp.
