Race 1

(5) JK LETITGO won easily last week and finds a field of similar talent this time around. (4) MS CAILA J FRA has some ability but putting it all together has proven difficult. (7) SOLID QUEEN couldn’t have asked for a better spot or trip last week.

Race 2

(2) TONATO OF LOVE was on her way to victory when Callahan encouraged her along a drop and she blew up. It is interesting that he sticks with her over #9, who he qualified at Dover. So far this meet he has made all the right moves. (6) LEAVE YOUR MARK is the obvious chalk and one to beat. (9) SIX GUN HALL came up with a pretty nice effort last time and Pierce just may gun him out and see what he has in the tank.

Race 3

(3) TEMPLE OF DOOM didn’t miss a beat despite a year on the bench. I expect he will move up the alphabetical ranks rather quickly. (2) SPICE IT UP LINDY moves inside this week and could ride the pylons for a nice trip. (5) LEXIS AMIGO closed well last time; trip player.

Race 4

(4) O DANA O continues to get conservative handling and small checks. That said she faced much, much tougher foes last time. If she is going to win at this level, it will be tonight. (8) TIGERS TOO GOOD added hobbles and stayed flat. That is an angle worth following. (1) SMUGGLER HALL should flash speed from the cones and get a nice piece.

Race 5

(5) VAPORSTAR saved ground and finished very fast at long odds last time. This guy has ability and could be ready to turn the corner. I’ll get on board tonight and hope to get a good price. (2) DOUBLE UP HANOVER simply followed along while babied through the stretch last week in a higher class. He can win this. (4) DASH FOR THE CASH steps up off a win but looks like a player. (3) OUTLAW had too far to come last time; moves inside.

Race 6

(8) LADYS ART wasn’t going very far from an outside post in the Petticoat final on Monday at Yonkers. She was also done in by a bad trip the prior week. She looks like a 1:52 pacer on the bigger track and should bring a nice effort. (1) DAY BLUE CHIP couldn’t sustain her rally into soft fractions last time; Callahan’s choice. (7) ARTIES LAST PARTY has early speed and should be using it. (6) ABROKENART HANOVER wouldn’t complete shock me at huge odds but it might be best to wait a week.

Race 7

(7) B L CLASS ACT was super last week despite showing breaks in his previous two attempts. If he brings anything close to his last race, he wins. (1) BLOMKVIST seems to be moving in the right direction for this barn. (3) BIG SKY BATS finds a field loaded with speed and could take advantage with a late rally. (2) MR FENWICK is usually around at the head of the lane and showed good stretch trot last week.

Race 8

(7) IF I DIDN’T CARE has clearly found her best stride lately; staying here. (10) GORDYYYS PET also has form but is stuck outside; tricky call. (3) JOANNIEHASAFANNY has been pretty good since entering this barn; early speed, too.

Race 9

(5) HELIOS chased some heavy hitters in his qualifier. That should have him sharp. He raced well in the Super Bowl series and finds a decent spot. (8) IN FOCUS is certainly in against a field he can beat. Last week he faced tougher and was coming off a layoff. I’m using him on all tickets. (7) VOLARE DE VIE should be heading to the top but hasn’t raced in three weeks.

Race 10

(8) BUZZ BOMB seemed to get along with driver David Miller quite well last time. Gelding remains at this bottom condition and should be tough once again. (2) CANTABULOUS comes in from Dover showing miles that are good enough to get a win here; breaks a lot. (1) IDEAL REVENUE should be involved if he continues his recent performances.

Race 11

(4) UNEFOISDANSMAVIE basically chased most of these around the track in her first start since mid-January. I’m expecting to see at least a bit of improvement for the Burke barn and the price will surely be right. (7) SEVRUGA continues to race very well each week. (6) ICE MACHINE won two back and came back to win at a higher price last week! I’ve missed the boat and can’t jump on board now.

Race 12

(6) CLEAR VIEW HANOVER did the best she could but had no chance of closing into soft fractions last time; narrow edge. (4) LOVE YOU BYE figures to get away with soft fractions in this short field. (3) MOJARRA HANOVER drops down; using.

Race 13

(5) BIJOU THEATER comes down from Saratoga with some form and faces a mostly lifeless group. (6) SLEAZY DOES IT should have won last week. I’m done picking her on top. (4) SHAYNA BABY was once a nice mare who could win a race here. Maybe the change in trainers will help.
