With the inside post he should make the top and work out a good trip. (8) FIJI is sharp and certainly quick off the gate. (6) MR LOVER raced very well after the early miscue last time. Seven-year-old will need the right setup but is more than capable. Race 2 (3) DELIGHTFUL DRAGON has put together consecutive wins and should have too much class for her foes tonight. (4) MONICA GALLAGHER deserves some respect with four wins in her last five starts. This is a real test. (7) TICA HANOVER comes in from Yonkers with big early speed and a solid 1:50 3/5 lifetime mark. Race 3 (3) DO YOUR JOB was written into this race and seems sharp enough to take advantage of that good fortune. (2) QUEEN KENDALL raced evenly from an outside post in her first start on Lasix. Don’t be shocked if she shows more this week. (5) GIRLLOOKATTHATBODY comes off a strong mile where she lost to a horse which had a perfect trip. Race 4 (4) DEJAROVER raced well in his first start of the year and only needs to take a small step forward to beat this suspect group. (7) CHROMEO wasn’t overly impressive but did get the job done in his first try for the Smedshammer barn. He’s worth a shot. (1A) DELAINE HALL came up a bit flat in the lane to start his career. Maybe he can show more in start number two. Race 5 In a race where I don’t have a strong opinion, (5) CHILLIN IT DE VIE was flat in her first start since December and could perk up with that start under her belt. (1) BEYONCES ROCKN worked out the perfect trip last week and could be in line for another great setup in a field that seems to lack an abundance of early speed. (8) OK HEAVENLY is reasonably sharp, but she is a close in a race without much space. Race 6 (8) ROCKIN PRALINE dealt with traffic trouble that likely cost her the win last week. While having post nine again is no prize, she has the early speed to make it work. (5) JULIO’S GIRL showed two good moves during the mile last week before weakening. Moving inside a few spots makes her dangerous. (6) MACHING ME ZILLY scored in this class last time and certainly should be considered on the win end again. Race 7 (6) JACK VERNON was once a highly regarded youngster with unlimited potential and only now seems to be coming into his own. Back in September he just missed here in a 1:53 2/5 mile. (8) DW’S NY YANK dominates this field in terms of class. Is the 9-year-old ready to roll in his second start back? (7) GOLDEN SON has early speed and form. His presence could serious hurt #8. Race 8 (8) MY CHERRY PIE raced well while taking air on the rim last time. With a smoother journey she can certainly win against a field where everyone is a contender. (7) ROUNDTOWN ROCKER seems likely to make the top and should take them a long way. (3) SWEET JUSTICE gets a driver switch to the hot McCarthy. (6) BUFF gets some major class relief this week. Race 9 (7) PERSEVERANT has displayed some signs of life in recent weeks and faces an abysmal field. (5) BOBJACKS ANGLE A didn’t race badly last time but just wasn’t fast enough. This field is much slower. (1) POP ICON can save ground and get into the number. Race 10 (6) STEED gave his all and just missed on the class drop last week. This may be an even easier spot. (3) COMMENTARY gets a much better post this time. He could be on the move early this week. (7) WILDFLOWER disappointed as the chalk last Friday. I might give her another shot on my pick four tickets. (8) DANISH DURANGO is down in class and capable if he behaves. Race 11 (9) ART HISTORY is way down in class tonight. I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t bring a monster performance and get off the 2018 schneid. (4) CITY HALL returns at a reduced level and reunites with Miller who steered him to some good races in the past. (7) UNCLE LILE A could be a bit tighter in his second start since September.
