Race 1

(5) WINDSUN FIREBALL has been somewhat inconsistent since shipping in for trainer Ron Burke. What we do know is that this gelding is dropping in class and has early speed in a field without much early zip. (7) MR FENWICK is another moving down the condition ladder. He has shown plenty of success at the C-2 level. (6) BLUEBIRD KIDSQUEEN has yet to miss the board this year. (8) CELEBRITY STIMULUS is fast enough to compete given the right trip; using underneath.

Race 2

(9) PHOTO MASTER ships in from Monticello with a fine record and is driven by top amateur Krivelin. (6) ROMPAWAY ALVIN has been stuck with outside posts on a half-mile track lately. His last two efforts are better than they look on paper. (5) DC NORTHERN has class and some early speed.

Race 3

(6) JAILHOUSE SCORPION hasn’t raced very often over the last couple of years, but this 7-year-old gelding is clearly fast enough to compete and the lack of activity could help his price. (7) GIMME THE LOOT was sharp last time at Freehold. (4) LEAVE YOUR MARK figures to be involved in the early action.

Race 4

(2) PARDON hasn’t been able to get over the top recently at the C-1 level, but this looks like the perfect spot to start a new trend. Mare should be sitting close to the action and have every chance to win. (6) DRAGON PRINCESS is another with good early speed that looking to conquer this level. (4) CULT STATUS has been trying to find her place as an older mare. Maybe she improves in her third start of the year. (7) MOJARRA HANOVER has proven capable at this level.

Race 5

(5) B L CLASS ACT has been a frustrating horse to follow. I’m confident he has more to offer, but all we seem to get are these teasing efforts from off the pace. Maybe we’ll see some speed this week. (6) CAPTAIN PRIMEAU is feeling good right now and seems like a must use. (2) MAJESTIC STONE would have been considered a solid player in this race back in February; don’t discount his chances.

Race 6

(4) COFFEE ADDICT gets some serious class relief tonight. Bruce Saunders-trained mare should be handled aggressively. (5) SO NICE just missed in a strong effort last time. (3) HANDSOFFMYCUPCAKE has yet to miss the board in nine starts this year, but only has one win.

Race 7

(6) BOADICEA HANOVER came up short in her first start since December. A slight step forward would make her very tough in this field. (5) SPLITSVILLE has raced well in each of his start this year. (3) MASTER BUILDER couldn’t be in much better form. (8) UPFRONTSTRIKESGOLD drops back down; hard to toss.

Race 8

(6) PAN LUIS OBISPO has looked good in her two starts this year and gets a nice post edge on the mare that beat her last week. (1) CERTIFIED IDEAL ships in from the Meadows in fine form. Four-year-old has been first or second in 50% of her 34 career starts. (10) JK LETITGO continued her perfect 2014 by beating my top choice last week. She gets tested further from post 10 on Friday. (8) BELLE BOYD is a nice mare that could be tighter in her second start of the year.

Race 9

(3) LEXIS AMIGO was stuck in traffic while appearing to have more left in reserve last week. Veteran gelding now makes his second start of the year and has every right to improve. (4) HERE COMES NUMBERS is racing very well now. (1) FIRSTCLASSPRINCESS had to pick up some confidence against a weak group last time. (5) THE TRIPLE LINDY is quite capable with a clean trip.

Race 10

(10) FOUR STARZ SPEED has been racing better lately. I don’t see a ton of early speed signed on, meaning this guy should have a clean run at the top. (1) SKYLINE ROAD has a huge post edge on my top choice, but getting away well from the inside can prove difficult at this track. (7) DON’T KNOW CHIP is racing well enough to consider.

Race 11

(3) WORLD CUP received a relaxing tour of the track last week. From this post, against this field, there are no excuses. (1) SWEET JUSTICE took a step in the right direction last time. (2) WHATA DONATO continues to bring a solid effort each week.

Race 12

(7) MONTANA SKIES might be a sneaky good play in here. She won her first start after missing 1 ½ years and raced pretty well two starts back. Last week she had no chance from post 10. (3) CHOCOHOLIC is in live hands tonight. (6) ALL MUNKY BUSINESS probably has the best form in the field, which isn’t saying much.

Race 13

(9) SMOKE PAN MIRRORS was used too hard last time but raced very well in her prior start. (5) NUTMEGS CIDER was a winner when last seen at this level. (1) SEA CRUISE HANOVER returns from a layoff against lesser foes.
