Race 1

(6) BULL SPREADER raced okay from an outside post in her Julie Miller barn debut. This race is filled with question marks and lacks a ton of early speed. With an aggressive drive she can take these a long way. (3) GOTTHEMUSICINYOU finished just ahead of the top choice last time, albeit with an easier trip. Miller chose here over three others; big threat. (4) IDEAL REVENUE has improved with Lasix and could be interesting if Marcus Miller can get him near the front.

Race 2

(1) TAMAYO tried to come from off-the-pace and was done in by a first-over trip last week. Now from the pylons he should be sitting no worse than second with a clear shot to pounce in the lane. (6) CANE RIDGE has been looking down the road each week and should be tough once again. (7) LAGUNA BEACH drew outside another speedster and seems due for a relaxing trip after two tough miles trying to get the top.

Race 3

I struggled trying to decide between (10) O DANA O and (8) DIPIETRANTONIO. Ultimately the potential for early speed from O Dana O lured me to her corner. She finished with a hint of trot last week in her first start since the end of 2010! The outside post isn’t ideal but there should be enough breakers and slow starters to set her up nicely. DIPIETRANTONIO has displayed a decent closing kick in almost every one of her races this year. She had no shot last week after chasing a slow half and was stuck in some faster races in those 1 1/16 races. (3) MISS CONNOR will take most of the tote action coming off a win, but she had everything her own way that night and was far from impressive.

Race 4

(9) JK LETITGO woke up with a nice mile last week and should be tough once again if Callahan stays with the front-end style. (3) MS CAILA J FRA came uncovered and didn’t appear to enjoy the final turn. Once in the stretch she paced home okay. I wouldn’t fall off my chair if Miller left hard and she paced a big mile. (6) HERE AGAIN is at a level where she should have success.

Race 5

(8) MELADYS MONET comes out of an open C-1 and into a race restricted for 3- & 4-year-olds. Miller had to abort a leave attempt last week when the three horses to his inside elected to go. This week there will be little early speed competition to his left and this gelding should be rolling. (9) CHOCOHOLIC is another likely leaver, but he starts to the outside of the top pick. Each of his last three tries has been solid and new driver Callahan is the hot hand. (1) GAELIC AND GARLIC comes off a win but steps back up in class. (3) LADY DYNAMITE was sneaky good in her qualifiers but might need a pari-mutuel start. (2) LEAVE YOUR MARK looks great on paper in her Miller barn qualifying debut, but he was drifting out in that mile; mixed feelings.

Race 6

There is simply a ton of early speed signed on to this race. (8) OPENING NIGHT is probably the fastest finisher of the group and gets my narrow call. (7) TALL COTTON raced very well in his Burke barn unveiling. I’m just unsure how this typical early speedster will respond from a potential off the pace trip. (5) IMPERIAL COUNT qualified okay after a strong 2012 campaign. (6) ICE MACHINE is certainly capable of a big mile at any time.

Race 7

(6) MONOCHROMATIC arrives from Dover in serious form for a good barn. I think she is simply too sharp for this group. (4) UNRED HANOVER was credible second last week versus Rocklamation at 11-1; capable. (3) SOUTHWIND JAZMIN has been racing well here but couldn’t touch the top choice at Dover.

Race 8

(5) THE CHANCELLOR burned money as the chalk last time when he broke. This really is a good spot for him, so let’s give him a chance to make amends. (4) WESTSIDE LINDY & (3) HOBOKEN SONNY were both racing in the B-2 class and now get to drop; possible. (2) SCORPION MOON took a step in the right direction last week.

Race 9

(6) JOANNIEHASAFANNY burst on the scene from Northville with a nice win. This group is clearly tougher, but her main competition all drew outside and she should set up with a nice trip on or near the lead. (9) SANGAAL would be the clear chalk from an inside post. How will this closer get into the race? (7) GORDYYYS PET received a conservative steer last week and lost any chance. She would be my top pick if I had inside knowledge that Campbell was going to be forceful tonight.

Race 10

(1) BUZZ BOMB moves into a new barn and gets a new set of hands at the controls. I’m not sure if it is a good thing or not but I feel confident we haven’t seen the best of this guy yet. (7) SPECTATOR K came to play last week and actually trotted the entire mile. If he does that tonight, watch out! (5) CELEBRITY LOVIN raced well off the bench from post 10 last time. (6) HEIDI FALLS has been going well lately.

Race 11

(2) CAMBASSADOR couldn’t have handpicked a better spot. He should sit first or second and best likely favorite (3) HOPSKIPANAJUMP, who has benefitted from some good luck lately. (6) IN KENNYS HONOR & (7) BRISTLE RIDGE BOB can battle for third.

Race 12

(7) HARBOR POINT did a great job of almost getting to Quick Deal last time. This barn is heating up and this is clearly a winnable spot for this gelding. (4) MY LEAP OF FAITH has some legitimate excuses for his recent failures. From this mid-pack post Miller can work out a trip. (10) TOP BILLING is probably the best horse in here but post 10 presents plenty of problems. (2) BAMBINO HALL is racing well for Team Allard; another good option.

Race 13

(5) IF I DIDN'T CARE seemed to get along with driver Marcus Miller and put in her best race in months. I’ll stay with here. (4) CHEYENNE PATTI has been closing well and now gets a better post to work with. (1) KIMMY shows a strong of good efforts. (6) MATTS SMOKIN LIL has won at this level in the past.
