Meadowlands: Friday 3/2 Analysis

MEET STATS: 81 - 261 / $620.80

Best Bet: FOUR STARZ CREDIT (9th)     Spot Play: WHATS NEW PUSSYCAT (7th)

Race 1

(4) TWO SHOT LEAD had post 10 last week, so that is a legitimate excuse. His prior try was a 7-length win. (7) WINDSUN GALAXIE added hobbles and improved. (6) STIR ME UP qualified back nicely. He raced well in the Super Bowl series.

Race 2

(4) SHAKY HANOVER has been facing much easier over at Yonkers. She is supposed to take care of business in here. (10) ODDS ON ADVENTURE toured the track in the slop last week. I believe she is better than that. (3) LOOKINFORAGOODTIME clearly needed her last start following the layoff. (7) SHAYNA BABY didn't appear to like the slop.

Race 3

(2) MAMA MADE ME BLUE was racing well before a dull effort in the slop last time. I'm going to toss that effort and expect better at a big price. (5) HEIDI FALLS finally draws a bit better. He is eligible for a lower class and stays at this level; hmmm. (4) BANK PRESIDENT scored easily in his last try at the Meadowlands at the $30k claiming level. (8) IN NOMINE PATRI has speed and raced well last time.

Race 4

(1) TROUBLE has easily been the most impressive in this series. Conway Hall colt seems to take some time to get going but has a nice motor under the hood. (3) NOT AFRAID was certainly the series favorite coming into leg one. He deserves respect. (5) MANS TREASURE wired them last week.

Race 5

(2) COLONEL MOFFITT had a great year in 2011 and seems to keep getting better with age. He couldn't be any sharper!  (10) OSCAR OSCAR has been a killer since returning, but you have to wonder if they'll take it easy with him this week from post 10 when they only need to be in the top 5 to make the final; clear danger. (6) IN KENNYS HONOR was used up as part of a :53 4/5 half last week. I have to assume he'll get softer fractions this time.

Race 6

(3) HIGHER AND HIGHER just missed in the Cape & Cutter final. I'm not sure that she is as good as some of these but she does have a conditioning edge with five starts under her belt this year. (9) PUT ON A SHOW has a chance to be the top pacing mare in the country if she can regain her form from two years ago. (4) SYMPHONY IN MOTION knows how to step up at the right time and should be close to the action. (5) ANNDROVETTE was the best mare in the country last year.

Race 7

(10) WHATS NEW PUSSYCAT kept up nicely in her 2012 debut. She drops tonight and Miller chose off a Casie Coleman horse to keep this drive. That is a big indicator. (4) ELLEOFNXAMPLE drops back in for a tag and faces easier. (8) BLING showed some life on the class drop last time; hard to toss. (9) RUN ON LUCK won at this level last week but draws outside now.

Race 8

(1) ALASTAIR HANOVER will likely be forced to brush to the front after the early action settles. He raced big last week! (8) ROCKIN GLASS stole the race with a soft half last time; big threat again. (4) KENTUCKY REBEL should have won last week. He can win but I'm going elsewhere.

Race 9

(9) FOUR STARZ CREDIT was much better last week, and it figures since he dropped down in class. He drops again tonight and should wire these if he behaves. (1) SOAPY SAP also gets some class relief; capable. (5) TSMLIL ORPHAN ANDY had no excuse in his most recent try but is still capable of getting a nice chunk. (10) CHAPLIN HALL has form but a bad post.

Race 10

(3) STILL ELECTRIC is a classy mare coming off a win; I'm on board. (2) BUCK STOPS HERE had no chance off the bench from post 10. Barn won a race last week with a returning 4yo. (7) JULIAS SONG N returns to the Meadowlands at a reduced level. She may prefer the bigger track. (8) SAND PLEASURE drops down.

Race 11

(8) RATHBONE N was prepping for the 1 1/2 mile series final last time, but that race didn't fill. Don't be shocked to see this guy rally if the pace is moderately fast. (6) TAMAYO drops again and should show more. (5) MR VITTI comes off a win.
