Race 1

(5) LEXIS AMIGO put in a useful yet unexciting qualifier. This guy can go (as evidenced by that 1:54 1/5 mile at Hazel last July) and this isn’t the toughest spot in the world. (9) IN YOUR ROOM has the early speed to overcome the outside post and also gets class relief. (1) CELEBRITY BOMBAY can’t seem to get over the hump but would be no surprise. (6) SHANTY IRISH is a big question mark. Will she trot?

Race 2

(1) WILCOX is probably not going to be worth his ‘off’ odds, but I can’t put my finger on who will beat him. (6) MATTOX’S WESTERN has the early zip to work out a good trip near the favorite. (4) HUMILITY made a nice move in that last qualifier and appears to have some talent.

Race 3

(3) THE CHANCELLOR is the one you’ll want to single on your multi-race tickets if you can stomach it. He has breaks in two of his last three but takes a huge class drop tonight and might even be able to overcome a small miscue versus this group. (5) BAD BOY BILLY comes off two toss-out races from outside posts. He moves in a few slots tonight. (8) ZUEREST has dangerous early speed. (10) FOUNTAINBLEAU VOLO has a shot if he gets pace help.

Race 4

(3) A BETTOR WORLD was trapped along the cones for most of his 2013 debut and couldn’t shake free until late. Once clear he absolutely stormed home full of late pace. Son of Bettor’s Delight is a standout for me. (8) ROCK ICON raced well in his debut but may need to find some early speed tonight. (1) BEACHFRONT & (2) CHESAPEAKE BAY have both drawn well, have early speed and would be no shock.

Race 5

(1) FEEL THE PRESSURE showed that she has some talent in her last start. This A-2 came up rather light and a repeat is well within her grasp. (4) MY LEAP OF FAITH stays at the same level but faces lesser. (7) LUCKY ROLL could be rolling from the word GO and remains a dangerous commodity on the engine.

Race 6

(5) MYSTICAL VICTRESS was handled patiently last time and wound up behind soft fractions. Hopefully her luck will run better this week. (9) DON’T BLAME HER has been off form but possesses high early speed in a field where she should make the top. (4) MAGIC STARLIGHT figures to come away no worse than second. Can she find a late kick this time around? (2) MJS BID might be stuck first-up in this field. I give her a big shot.

Race 7

(9) ICE MACHINE was good here in January and we know he can fly off the gate; narrow call. (2) IL MAGO stepped up to this level and was a solid second behind an impressive runaway winner. (4) SPICE IT UP LINDY is around for a good check each week; underneath. (5) COCO LINDY qualified back well but might need one start to get down in speed to the 1:53 level.

Race 8

(3) ARCTIC FIRE N raced well at a higher level here in December. With Tetrick signed on I can see taking a shot. (8) RAHPSODY ROSE shouldn’t have too many leavers to her inside and that could have her sitting pretty. (6) AUTUMN MAGIC remains in good form and seems hard to toss off your tickets. (5) RAMONA DISOMMA returned from a layoff with a good try.

Race 9

(2) ONE NIGHT gets some much needed class relief and really should get the job done. (1) ASSET MANAGEMENT swept the field to upset last time. Why not again? (3) SYNERGY SEELSTER comes into this with some form and draws well.

Race 10

(2) BABY BLAZE ran into a nice mare in Real Babe last time. I like the fact that this gelding will be close to the pace in this bulky field. (6) CAMERON CHIP is best suited to be a closer and perhaps the extra 1/16 will help her in the stretch. (11) RINGSIDE LAURYN has a good chance of spicing up the exotics. The  only concern would be if the one she is following behind the gate makes a break. (8) DOUBLE UP HANOVER is always capable and risky.

Race 11

(5) AXIOM HANOVER has displayed some signs of serious ability in his Big M appearances. Can he put it all together? Is he ready at first asking? Good questions that I’m willing to overlook if the price is right. (1) RESISTANCE FUTILE comes down from Canada with good credentials and probably rates as the one to beat. (8) POWER ROCK should flash speed and get a nice piece.

Race 12

(4) THE BUDSTER moves out of the very tough A-2 ranks this week. There are a couple of decent ones signed on to his inside and I’m thinking Bud will provide a bit of value. (1) THE TRIPLE LINDY is on quite a roll; obvious contender. (2) NOT AFRAID hasn’t been able to put it all together recently. Maybe tonight is the night.

Race 13

(2) CHILDS PLAY took a ton of air on a night when being near the front wasn't a good idea and still dug in to lose by fewer than three lengths. Her career hasn't been great thus far, but let's remember that she is a full sister to the speedy Duneside Perch and Aba Daba Doo. (5) DREAMS BAR certainly fits with this group. I wouldn’t mind seeing speed from her, though (6) MISS SAND CREEK is sure to be gunning right to her outside.
