This certainly looks like a winning spot. (2) CR BLAZIN BEAUTY qualified back well and wasn’t exactly urged home with vigor in the defeat. If ready to roll she should be very competitive. (3) HE’S GONE has some ability but has trouble minding his manners. Race 2 (3) OPULENT YANKEE rolled down the road versus softer last week and should be in a good position to repeat versus a short field where he could get away with easy fractions. (6) ROCK OF CASHEL has understandably had trouble closing from the back at Yonkers and Dover; Meadowlands should move him up. (5) CELEBRITY PEGASUS is certainly fast enough to win and Marohn in the bike is a plus. Race 3 (9) DERF HANOVER came up a bit short as the chalk in his first start since July. I’m expecting him to be much tighter this week. (7) BREAK FREE put in his best race in a while last Friday and perhaps he is finally ready to break out. (4) RANGONE HANOVER gets a new set of hands behind the lines and that alone can make a difference. (6) PRESIDENTE ZETTE broke through last time and I’m not sure the shorter price this week will make sense. Race 4 (7) FOX VALLEY CADET & (6) CHARMBRO CURIOSITY are taking a step down the claiming ladder and both have performed well for a $7,500 tag; I’ll give the slight edge to the former. (5) FLY’N WITH ROYALTY drops to the bottom claiming level and could show some early speed with the improved post. Race 5 (6) BELL A CHICK returns from a year on the bench, but I have every reason to believe his is ready to roll after a nice qualifier where he kicked home in 27 seconds. He’s worth a flyer in here. (5) TROUBLE RIEU N was trapped and finished up willingly behind a runaway winner last time. I worry that he’ll be overbet now, especially consider he was 0 for 28 last year. (2) AGRESTORES COMET couldn’t find his groove at Cal Expo but is back at The Meadowlands now where he won at the NW5000 level in June. (8) RUDDY RUSTY arrives in town with Gingras at the helm; worth a look. Race 6 I’m going to give (2) CASINO CUTIE IT a pass for her dull efforts at Yonkers from outside posts and the second tier. She gets her nose on the gate here from a good post and could offer value. (1) WORTH THE MONEY AS is down in class this week with no excuses. (4) ROCKIN REDFORD was gift-wrapped a win as the leaders dueled last time. I’m only on oard with him at odds of 7-2 or higher. (3) LONG STORY SHORT comes in off a win but faces a better group this time. Race 7 (1) CAROBBEAN PACETRY was better last time with Lasix added. With her inside post and gate speed, she can make some serious noise in here. (7) BETTORHAVEANOTHER rallied nicely last week and now moves in a couple of posts. (4) BRONZE OVER N didn’t get the job done at Yonkers but was successful versus easier when here last. Race 8 (5) IRON MINE BUCKY & (4) STERLING CADET have both been facing much stronger competition in recent weeks and should prove tough in this spot. I’ll give the edge to the formeron the driver change angle to Brett Miller. (1) BROADWAY CONCERT & (2) SIMPLY VOLO finished one-two last time out and have drawn well this week. Race 9 (1) GLENFERRIE BRONTE N took too much air on the rim last week and was stuck in post nine prior to that effort. A clean trip should give her a big shot. (5) UF DRAGON’S QUEEN comes out of the same race as the top one and takes the same double-drop in class for a barn that does well with that move. (7) FAITHFUL DESIRE ships in sharp and has a nose for the winner’s circle. (3) HEARTS N FLOWERS is coming out of the same 1-20 race as the top pair and actually finished ahead of both that night. Race 10 (9) REAL DJ HANOVER spent plenty of time on the rim in his first start for the Sodano barn and held reasonably well. The driver change to Gingras makes this gelding very intriguing. (2) TWO HIP DIP rallied nicely after an early break. The talent is there for this guy to win; must use. (1) COMMENTARY is certainly capable if he can trot the mile. Race 11 (4) AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL charged home last week and is a decent trip away from scoring at a price. (8) MAY I CRUISE WEST drops down this week and will almost certainly be moving fast off the gate. (5) MUST BE THE BUNNY is sure to be overbet going from Blumenfeld to Gingras . He has a shot but might not be worth the odds. (1) ESPRIT DE KAYJAY A & (2) WALKS OF LIFE both have early speed and form. Race 12 (1) CASA MIASA is a sharp horse facing a very dull field. She should take charge. (4) ALWAYS AS FAST got away slowly in her first start up from Pompano. Perhaps she needed some time to acclimate to the colder climate. (6) FINA PATINA has as good a shot as to get into the number. Race 13 (1) NORTHERN FIESTA has a couple of starts under her belt now following a two-plus month break. I’ll give her a shot in a race where none of these stand out. (7) JADED DREAM won for fun last time and is clearly the one to beat. (2) PETAL TO THE METAL has been racing well and should be helped by the inside post. (8) GUSSY’S DRAGON hasn’t done much since coming here but faces a pretty easy field.
