Race 1

(5) RUSH N SUPREME was a solid second in his lone Big M appearance. Ten-year-old faces a rather blank field this time and should dominate. (6) OVER AND OUT drops to the level of his last victory but hardly seems reliable with minimal wins in 40 starts in 2013. (3) HOLD ON TIGHTLY gets post and class relief.

Race 2

(5) DAYLON MAGICIAN showed enough in his first pari-mutuel start in over a year to indicate that he's sound and ready to compete at the highest level. Six-year-old faces a short field and may finally be the one to take down the streaking (3) SWEET JUSTICE. The latter has been nothing short of awesome though the 1:51 1/5 mile on a nine-degree night seems more improbable than Cooler Schooner's mark at Pocono. (4) NOT AFRAID has held his form quite well this winter.

Race 3

(4) DO WEE RUSTY obviously impressed Gingras enough in her qualifier to have him send her down the road in her sophomore debut. Though she couldn't hold up under pressure the tightener should benefit her the second time around. (10) J HIGH once again lands outside and that doesn't help her considering her grinding speed isn't likely to help her see the top. (1) HANDSOFFMYCREAMPUF has a reasonable figure off a no-chance debut.

Race 4

(10) ACADIA AS makes her debut for trainer Jeff Smith following a decent qualifier over the half-miler at Freehold. Four-year-old mare has enough speed to overcome the draw. (1) ZOLI on paper appears a contender from this spot but that anemic win percentage is something to be wary of. (6) DOT DOT DOT DASH is a nicely bred four-year-old that may have needed time to mature; can surprise.

Race 5

(7) LOCAL ART has gone down the class ladder quickly since her arrival and appears to have found just the right field to stomp on. (5) CRAZY EIGHTS is not all that easy to figure but she did show high speed leaving last week and that's a positive indicator. (4) MY TALLIA IDEAL gets some post relief and figures prominently at this level.

Race 6

(1) NEWPORT VOLO has a reasonable amount of class and may be able to outkick this group come crunch time. (5) TIGERS TOO GOOD faced a little tougher group than this last week and came up short while appearing like a winner in early stretch; can take all. (3) WARRAWEE OLAY is in good trotting hands.

Race 7

(3) MARTY PARTY tries to make amends after getting taken down last week at a little softer level. Five-year-old is usually better off a cover trip and should be able to find one from this spot. (1) LIGHTNING PAIGE was very sharp coming overland against weaker and wouldn't surprise with another big effort tonight. (2) BIG MCDEAL has some class and is well spotted.

Race 8

(2) SMOOTHER RIDE has been trotting evenly since his arrival here without much success. Four-year-old gets a break in classification and should come to life. (3) SHEENAS SHADOW really hasn't had much in the way of legitimate excuses but can be closing late against this crew. (6) RIVERFEST was ultra sharp beating weaker.

Race 9

(5) UNRED HANOVER returns and gets a rather generous drop in class. Five-year-old picks up Callahan and should be forwardly placed. (4) MARINADE HANOVER steps up very sharp for Toscano and will get tested for toughness. (2) PRECIOUS ROSE N came to life off a pocket trip in her first go-round for Burke. Import faces a few more obstacles at this level.

Race 10

(5) AISLING may have finally found a spot he can win from. Veteran has one bad trip after another and is worth a shot in this most competitive event. (3) HERE COMES NUMBERS is sitting on a big performance. He broke while making the front last week and may be more than meets the eye. (9) TEMPLE OF DOOM is clearly the class of the field but tends not to be that aggressive early and could be compromised by the draw.

Race 11

(3) OLE MISS drops a notch after two impossible efforts. Veteran won nine times last year and seems ready to get back rolling again. (1) SMOKE PAN MIRRORS went a very game mile two starts back and will benefit from the inside draw. (2) UP FRONT CRUISER hails from the very potent Burke-Gingras combine.

Race 12

(10) SPICE IT UP LINDY may have drawn outside in this group but appears to have the most ability and a tremendous amount of class. With Meittinis in the bike he'll find a way to get into the hunt. (5) HOWES MAGIC may benefit from a better draw but still must start showing something to indicate he's got class. (7) WHEELS beat up on cheaper; retains Callahan.

Race 13

(1) DREAMS BAR has missed some time since her first start of the meet but lands inside and is in top hands. (2) SPECIAL KIM came up a drop short in her first start in four weeks and may be able to build off that mile. (7) ANGEL OF THE WEST picks up Callahan and deserves some respect.
