Kissin In The Sand and Plunge Blue Chip rolled to easy victories in the Three Diamonds and Goldsmith Maid eliminations for 2-year-old fillies on Saturday night at the Meadowlands. Away fifth at the 27 second opening quarter in the $20,000 Three Diamonds elimination for pacing fillies, Kissin In The Sand (Tim Tetrick) came with a rush to get the lead before the 56 4/5 half.  She began to open up on the field past the 1:25 1/5 three-quarters, and she would hit the finish line 3 1/2 lengths ahead of Strong Opinion (David Miller) in a 1:52 2/5 mile.  Rounding out the horses advancing to the final were Alexa's Power (Scott Zeron), Reign On Me (Yannick Gingras), Aldine Hanover (Marcus Miller), Python Blue Chip (Brian Sears), and Pueblo Blue Chip (Brett Miller). Division leader Youaremycandygirl, in addition to Rainbow Room and Majorsspeciallady, took byes into next Saturday night's $381,200 final. The victorious Somebeachsomewhere filly is trained by Nancy Johansson for owners Marvin Katz and Hatfield Stables.  Kissin In The Sand sports a record of 7-1-1 from 13 efforts, and she has put away $227,363.  Kissin In The Sand, who was bought for $130,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale, was bred by Christina Takter, John Fielding, R A W Equine Inc. and Concord Stud Farm LLC. and is out of the Real Artist mare Kiss Me Kate ($283,839), a full sister to Kikikatie ($1,268,463) and a half-sister to Katie Said (Well Said, $506,476).  Kissin In The Sand paid $2.60 to win as the 1-5 favorite. In the $20,000 Goldsmith Maid elimination for trotting fillies, Basquiat was a scratch, meaning the remaining nine fillies would all advance to meet up with bye-accepting Hey Blondie in the $420,750 final.  Dab Hanover (Marcus Johansson) took the group of nine to the 29 2/5 first quarter, but Plunge Blue Chip (Ake Svanstedt), who started from the far outside post nine, moved up on the outside and became the new leader on the way to the 59 2/5 half. Nancy Johansson would also win a $25,000 leg of the TVG Series for pacing mares with Darlinonthebeach (Brett Miller).  Darlinonthebeach made front from Lady Shadow (Gingras) past a 54 2/5 half, went on to reach three-quarters in 1:21 1/5, and kept right on going through the lane to a season's-best 1:48 3/5 clocking, just two-fifths of a second off the track record for a 4-year-old mare pacer. It was the 17th career victory for Darlinonthebeach, a daughter of Somebeachsomewhere owned by breeder White Birch Farm.  She continued her march toward millionaire status, pushing her career bankroll to $978,528.  Darlinonthebeach was dispatched at 7-1 and paid $16.80 to win.
