First Race

1. TEEGEECEE 2. BIALYSTOK 3. TURULU

TEEGEECEE couldn't cope with NYRA competition but figures tough in his second try at this level and on the main track. A positive rider switch gives him the edge over a pair of colts who have lost as the favorite for $10K. BIALYSTOK has been knocking on the door for a Thompson barn which remains on fire after winning the Monmouth training title. Looks dangerous from the bell under Lopez. TURULU loses Carrero to the choice but is an obvious contender especially if able to clear early.

Second Race

1. BINAWHILE 2. FOXSKI 3. FINAL CHOICE

BINAWHILE certainly isn't racing in career-best form yet could break this event open early with a return to front-running tactics. Finds the proper level to score. Alvarado sticks aboard FOXSKI who could threaten to snap his losing streak. Strikes from the second flight if the speeds fold. FINAL CHOICE is showing signs of regression after a solid career yet looms a danger in the lane against these.

Third Race

1. SEATTLE CHIEF 2. CZARDAS DANCER 3. REALLY IRISH

SEATTLE CHIEF hasn't put forth a subpar dirt effort in quite some time. Veteran stands to benefit from a contested pace today after tacking some tough turfers at the shore. CZARDAS DANCER was claimed out of his fresh Spa romp and returns to a strip on which he triumphed last November. Capable under a patient Arroyo. REALLY IRISH met better at Delaware and may prove the quickest of the speeds although MAN ON THE GO and FREE AGAIN could complicate matters on the front end.

Fourth Race

1. MIKES WINNER 2. HURRY TO FINISH 3. BAILEY'S BEST

MIKES WINNER heads a strong coupling for conditioner Jeff Bonde. Shaded :23 prior to weakening in debut but figures tougher to reel in with the benefit of that experience. HURRY TO FINISH completes the entry and can show sharper early zip after fading in his well-bet unveiling. The well-traveled BAILEY'S BEST arrives at the Big M for capable upstate New York connections and may prove the surprise package.

Fifth Race

1. QUALABEAR 2. PRIVATE ALLAY 3. STUDY HALL

QUALABEAR showed a little of why she was sent postward at 4-1 in her July Belmont debut when finishing with interest in her local unveiling. First time tag runner can capitalize on a quick pace here. PRIVATE ALLAY is clearly better on the green and poses a late danger if able to reproduce either of her grass outings. STUDY HALL tries again after being disciplined for interference at Monmouth. Tactically-inclined filly can't be eliminated. Freshened HONEST SCARLET faced much better when last seen and figures hard to beat if this event is switched to the main track.

Sixth Race

1. BOLD NASKRA 2. ARCADIA STREET 3. WHAT'S NEW

BOLD NASKRA drops back to his winning level after an uncharacteristic poor effort. A 4-for-11 '01 record suggest stalker could be set to rebound from slightly off the pace. ARCADIA STREET is the wild card dropping off the claim as he was once capable of handling better company. Eligible to drop bombs in the first try for his new connections. WHAT'S NEW will likely be mixing it up early with ALYTAP but you need only look back to his July 25 win for evidence of stalking ability.

Seventh Race

1. CALCA 2. SCRUBBY 3. ON THE TOUR

CALCA tired after chasing ON THE TOUR recently but has SCRUBBY and ARMENIAN SHEIKH to handle that dirty work today. Projects for a better second flight rating trip today at a square price. Big M lover SCRUBBY figures to take advantage of his inside post and win the race to the first turn. Clearing early could lead to a wakeup from what has been a disappointing '01 campaign. It's no coincidence that returning to the Meadowlands produced a victory for horse for course ON THE TOUR. It's tempting to take a shot against him as the chalk off that excellent score.

Eighth Race

1. ICY FLIRT 2. REEF CLUB 3. DIABLO'S IMAGE

ICY FLIRT arrives in raging form for Juan Serey who entered this lass for a higher purse at Belmont last week. Can benefit from a probable duel between ROSECAT and FINAL RARE en route to her 4th triumph in 5 starts. REEF CLUB has been breezing well at Philly for her comeback from a freshening. Capable of a good try off the pace and the respite. DIABLO'S IMAGE also comes back from a bit of a break and may offer better while trying $20K types again.

Ninth Race

1. DEELITEFUL IRVING 2. QAWAQEB 3. TRIP REPORT

DEELITEFUL IRVING figures difficult to beat after finishing well for third behind Startac on the Arlington Million undercard. Both of this stretch-runner's outings have been solid and he goes postward for Pletcher who won a pair of stakes Saturday at Belmont. QAWAQEB, a half-brother to stakes-winner Darling My Darling, went well in his turf debut at the Spa. May be the lone threat to the choice perhaps given a more aggressive early strategy. Ignoring the improved TRIP REPORT's recent debacle could land him in the trifecta at a decent price.

Tenth Race

1. SERIOUS SUSAN 2. LIKE TO KEEP BUSY 3. BUBA'S JET

SERIOUS SUSAN may benefit from the added distance as well as a pace skirmish between contenders LIKE TO KEEP BUSY and BUBA'S JET. Filly is capable of better than her most recent start indicates. LIKE TO KEEP BUSY has now fired three consecutive solid efforts. Knocking on the door in her 9th try. BUBA'S JET draws outside of her main pace foes today but deserves respect off the pair of runnerup finishes at this level.
