Race 10 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: BORDO BAY (12TH)

Spot Play: NATIVE WORLD (6TH)

Race 1

(4) DYLAN ROCKS blasted off the gate last out and had a ton of pace late as well; threat.  (3) RICHESS NESTOR picks up the top driver and was sharp a few starts back. (9) JITTERBUG JACK would have been my top choice if he had a different driver; fires late.

Race 2

(2) ACES AGAIN was an easy winner last out and might be able to handle the better field.   (1) GOLDEN-NUGGET was pressed throughout most of the mile last out and held on gamely.  (6) TRACY’S HERO went a big effort as well last start, drawing off by open lengths.

Race 3

(3) BUST MY CHOPS has been racing gamely in a suspect field; big chance.  (8) BUTTERFLY KISSER has a ton of ability when right but is saddled with a very tough post.  (4) CEE CEE’S DELIGHT just raced evenly last out but has been known to fly out of the gate for position.

Race 4  - Lester McKeever Stake

(4) FORT SILKY should make the lead rather easily and when he does it’s just a formality; short price.   (1) UNCLE SMOOTHIE was on fire last out from an impossible spot.  The 4-year-old is versatile and should get a crack at the top choice late after sitting in the pocket.  (2) SPORTS FANATIC should be tucked away in the three-hole and will save ground; use underneath.

Race 5  - Abe Lincoln Stake

(3) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE made a very unfortunate break last out because he had just made the lead.  The well bred two-year-old will probably be on the lead or in the pocket early.  (2) ODDS ON RHODONITE is another well bred colt that gets the best post.  The sophomore pacer has just been racing evenly but finds a very suspect field.  (4) ARCHETTO HANOVER doesn’t have a win on the year but has flashed talent and does show versatility.

Race 6  - Galt Stake

In a wide open race on paper, (6) NATIVE WORLD makes his second start back off a long layoff and should have much more to offer.  (4) SMOOTH TRANSITION drops back down to a class where he can make some noise; threat.  (1) POLAR BEAR draws the rail and keeps the top driver; use underneath.

Race 7  - Cinderella Stake

(6) LINDY’S TRU GRIT picks up one of the best half-mile drivers in the world, but has shown breaks.  If the sophomore trotter minds his manners he will probably sweep past late.   (3) ROSSINI was parked the mile last out in the American National and will probably try and get to the lead again.   (1) CREAMPUFF MACDADDY doesn’t show much gate speed but does draw the rail and finds a weak field; threat.

Race 8

(2) ALWAYS ABOUT KATEY was overmatched last out against the best fillies.  This field came up very weak and she‘s the class of it.  (5) AUNIQUEAQUISTION looks to be in a tough spot unless she blasts out of there, but the top choice isn’t letting anybody go.  However, she is clearly the second best horse in the race.  (3) PERTTY MUSIC gets a great post to track the favorite the whole mile; key underneath.

Race 9 - Windy City Pace

(2) LUCAN HANOVER went a monster effort last out, parked and first up the whole mile.  The 3-year-old pacer gets the best driver and will be on top by the quarter; short price.   (6) WORD POWER blasted off the gate last out. If he can do that again, he will be in a prime position.  (1) KANARIS really surprised me last out with how well he raced. That said, this spot is a different story; use underneath.

Race 10

(3) DONT WORRY B HAPPY owns some back class and is better from off the pace.   (5) YA U BET CHA came up empty last out but was sharp prior.  (1) JHS has been a new horse since switching barns. He draws the rail and should be in a good spot turning for home.

Race 11

(4) TAMARAC SASSY will be tough to beat if she makes an early lead; big chance.  (1) SHABALABADINGDONG has just been racing evenly but should benefit from a good trip in the pocket.  (5) SHE’S AUTOMATIC should probably try and come from off the pace; otherwise could be in for a rough trip.

Race 12

(1) BORDO BAY was on a roll before being parked the mile last out.   (4) LAZY LIZARD had a significant turnaround last out and will hit the board with a repeat of that effort.  (5) M T NESTER has just been racing evenly but finds a suspect field after the top choice.

Race 13

(2) SUMMER PARTY takes a significant drop in class and could get a fast pace to close into; threat.  (7) WEEKEND UPDATE went from awesome to empty last out; fires early.  (4) PROSPER has been racing gamely but probably should be used on the bottom of your ticket.

Race 14

(2) BUBS DESIRE gets sent out for the top barn and keeps the best pilot.  (1) NASH GRAM has the most gate speed and the rail, but when he‘s raced on the lead the last few times he‘s quit badly; command a price.  (5) BLUERIDGEVALENTINO has had good success at Maywood and is versatile.
