March Madness: Lehigh the pick on Tuesday

LAS VEGAS - After the seeds were announced Sunday for the NCAA tournament, a lot was discussed about how the Sunday afternoon games hurt the Big 10 and Big 12 champions because the selection committee had to lock in a lot of their seedings due to time constraints.

Oklahoma St. was stuck with a No. 2 seed despite winning the Big 12 tournament and Wisconsin was left with a No. 6 seed despite routing Illinois for the Big 10 title.

But another team that played Sunday got the shaft.

However, the fact Lehigh shouldn't be here is actually good for us because it provides a betting opportunity as they are only a 4-point favorite over Florida A&M, the only team in the tournament with a losing record at 14-16.

Lehigh is a guard-oriented team with has come on lately to give the Mountain Hawks an inside scoring option.

That balanced attack should make it difficult for Florida A&M's defense, which allows 74 points per game against mediocre competition. In addition, the Rattlers' best player, , suffered a thigh bruise last Saturday in the MEAC title game vs. Coppin St. and if he's not 100 percent, then this looks like an even better bet.

PLAY: Lehigh -4 for 1 unit.
