Returning on May 17 for a $16,000 claiming price, Slew's Carousel won by three-quarters of a length in 1:09 for six furlongs. He was claimed by trainer Frank Lucarelli, who has retained Gallyn Mitchell to ride at 118 pounds.

Also dangerous is Tickletime, who is coming off an impressive 5 1/2 length victory over maiden special weight company in his second start on May 18. He raced 6 1/2 furlongs in a swift 1:15.80 under Ben Russell, who retains the call from trainer Junior Coffey at 118 pounds.
