Favorites dominated Saturday's $2 Magna 5, winning four of the five races in the nationwide bet and producing a payoff of $150.40 to 3,418 ticket-holders.

The winners of the Magna 5 races were Friel's For Real ($3.60) in the Maryland Racing Media Handicap at Laurel, Abby's Not Normal ($6.20) in the fourth race at Santa Anita, Sun King ($3.80) in the 10th at Gulfstream Park, Waki American ($5.60) in the fifth at Santa Anita, and Mr. Pleasentfar ($5.60) in the 11th at Gulfstream Park

All of the winners except for Abby's Not Normal were favored. Abby's Not Normal edged favored Overnightsensation to win a one-mile allowance race on turf.

The $2 bet features five races run within an hour at racetracks owned by Magna Entertainment Corp.

Saturday's pool reached $659,864, the second-highest pool of the year and well above the $500,000 guaranteed by Magna.
