The margin of victory may have been smaller, but Lucy’s Bob Boy was equally dominant Saturday night in winning the $50,000 A Huevo Stakes for West Virginia-breds at Charles Town for a second time. Sent to the front by jockey Arnaldo Bocachica and facing just four opponents, Lucy’s Bob Boy ($2.40) cruised to a 2 1/4-length victory, completing 1 1/8 miles in 1:51.03. A year ago, he romped by 8 3/4 lengths as the even-money favorite. Allegheny Jack raced in second throughout the nine furlongs. He made a bid to challenge Lucy’s Bob Boy at the quarter pole but was repulsed and settled for second, 2 1/4 lengths in front of the 3-1 second choice Fred High. A 5-year-old trained by Sandra Dono for Linda Sours, Lucy’s Bob Boy has now won 21 of 31 starts and $864,805. All 21 of his victories have come at Charles Town.
