Louisiana Downs track report

Jess a Feature, who has won her last three races, has already defeated five of the nine rivals she will face Saturday in the $436,347 Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders' Association Sales Futurity at Louisiana Downs.

A 400-yard race for 2-year-olds, the LQHBA Futurity is restricted to horses bred in Louisiana.

Jess a Feature won the 350-yard division of the LQHBA Futurity at Evangeline Downs in September, defeating Chicks Salute Me, Special Toast to Gd, A Special Toast, and Jess Cash This, all of whom return Saturday.

The biggest threat from that group could be Jess Cash This. He broke last in the 350-yard division and finished eighth, but returned in his next start to set the fastest qualifying time for the 400-yard division of the LQHBA Futurity. He won his Oct. 27 trial by a half-length in 19.79 seconds; Jess a Feature captured her trial by a length in 19.87 seconds.

Darrell Constantin has the mount on Jess Cash This for trainer Doug Weeks. Jess Cash This, who will break from the rail, has won three of six starts and is out for his first stakes win in the LQHBA.

Jess a Feature draws what might prove to be the better post of the two, No. 7. Jacky Martin, who is perfect in three starts with Jess a Feature, has the mount for trainer Rodney Reed.

Jess a Feature, who has won 6 of 8 starts, won her trial over Bbs First Beduino, who will run back Saturday in the LQHBA.
