Louisiana Downs: Rebridled!

Bossier City, La - Rebridled, under clever handling by veteran Ronald Ardoin, picked up his second stakes victory of the season Saturday when he outfinished Candid Glen in the Alliance Handicap at Louisiana Downs. Longshot Paco Loco finished third followed by Heather's Gate.

Favored Big Hubie, last seen here winning the $100,000 Louisiana Downs Handicap on Sept. 22, set a soft pace only to fade through the stretch and report home last in the field of seven.

Rebridled ($8) tucked in behind the leaders early before Ardoin took advantage of an open rail late on the backstretch. Still in front past the furlong marker, the winner dug in to prevail by a neck in 1:45.63 over a turf course softened by rains earlier in the week. The John Kyle Fister trainee has now won 13 of his 73 lifetime starts with career earnings of over $515,000.
