Louisiana Downs: Back to reality for Comisky's Humor

Comisky's Humor, who finished 13th in the Grade 2, $1 million Louisiana Derby last month at Fair Grounds, returns to both the overnight ranks and sprinting in the featured seventh race Sunday at Louisiana Downs. He will be adding blinkers for the first-level allowance at six furlongs.

The field of 10 also includes Eddie's Band, who last year won a Louisiana Downs maiden special weight with a Beyer Figure of 102.Comisky's Humor landed in the Louisiana Derby after two powerful wins last winter at Fair Grounds. He took a $10,000 maiden claiming sprint by 14 lengths on Jan. 29, earning a Beyer Figure of 96. One race later, Comisky's Humor won a six-furlong starter allowance in New Orleans, covering the distance in a sharp 1:09.60 and earning a Beyer of 84. From there, he set the pace in the Louisiana Derby before fading.

Richard Eramia, the regular rider on Comisky's Humor, has the mount for trainer Ron Faucheux.
