Lookin At Lucky had trainer Bob Baffert worried when he contracted a fever over the weekend and missed some training. But he went back to the track Tuesday and is still on schedule for a start in March.

ARCADIA, Calif. - Champion 2-year-old Lookin At Lucky returned to the racetrack at Santa Anita on Tuesday after being given the weekend off because of a slight illness, trainer Bob Baffert said.

Baffert said Lookin At Lucky did not train over the weekend because "he had a little temperature and it scared me."

"He was probably okay, but I didn't want to take any chances," Baffert said. "He went back to the track and he looked good."

Lookin At Lucky has not started since winning the at Hollywood Park in December. He is the favorite to win the Kentucky Derby in the future book at several Las Vegas casinos.

Baffert has not been able to train Lookin At Lucky extensively in recent weeks. When Santa Anita lost three days of racing because of insufficient drainage of its main track last month, Baffert chose to walk Lookin At Lucky. The colt jogged for a few days in the final week of January.

Baffert said that Lookin At Lucky is being prepared for a return in March, but that no race has been finalized.
