GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Miss Bridget Jones remained perfect in three career starts when she won her stakes debut in the $150,000 Stonerside.

It was three lengths back in second to Souris, who was three-quarters of a length clear of City Sleeper.

Miss Bridget Jones ($8.40) dueled with Letithappencaptain through fractions of 22.08 seconds for the opening quarter and 44.19 for the half. At about the eighth pole, Miss Bridget Jones disposed of that rival, and went on to cover seven furlongs over a fast track in 1:22.56.

Jamie Theriot rode the winner for trainer Cole Norman.

"She was very impressive," said Dave Hulkewicz, who co-owns Miss Bridget Jones with Turf Express. "Moving up from allowance company is a big jump, and we're happy."

Miss Bridget Jones, who won her maiden at Hollywood Park in December, was sent to this region for the Stonerside. In her first start of the year, she won a conditioned allowance April 19.

Miss Bridget Jones earned $90,000 for her win in the Stonerside, which improved her bankroll to $132,000.
