Scott Wells, the president and general manager of Remington Park in Oklahoma City, has been named to the same position at Remington’s sister track, Lone Star Park near Dallas. Wells confirmed the new appointment on Friday, and said it was effective immediately.

“I’m not relinquishing my duties at Remington Park,” he said.

Wells said Friday that Matt Vance has been promoted to vice president of racing and wagering for Remington.

Drew Shubeck was the most recent president and general manager of Lone Star. He assumed a management role with the track in February 2006, when it was owned by Magna Entertainment.

Global Gaming Solutions, a subsidiary of Chickasaw Nation, purchased the operating assets of Lone Star in 2010. Remington’s first meet under the ownership of Global Gaming was in 2010.

Wells, who has been involved in racetrack management since the 1990s, was elected president of the Thoroughbred Racing Associations in March.
