LNJ Foxwoods to sponsor TCA stallion season auction

The LNJ Foxwoods operation of Larry, Nanci and Jaime Roth will be the top sponsor of the upcoming Thoroughbred Charities of America annual stallion season auction, to be held Monday, Jan. 4 to Saturday, Jan. 9.

The New York-based LNJ Foxwoods has become a notable player on the racing and auction landscapes in recent years, with high-end purchases and horses running at the graded stakes level. Among the runners to compete under the LNJ Foxwoods colors are Grade 1 winner Nickname, Grade 1-placed stakes winner Constellation (an $800,000 purchase), Grade 3 winner Super Majesty, and maiden winner Inheritance (purchased for an Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.-record $1.9 million).

“We are so grateful to the Roths, not only for providing this sponsorship but even more for their personal commitment to our mission and for the example they are setting for all of us who are involved with Thoroughbreds,” said Dan Rosenberg, president of TCA.

Providing Thoroughbreds with a proper retirement is a passion of the Roth family, which has committed to caring for its runners at the end of their racing careers.

“It is an honor for us to align ourselves with Thoroughbred Charities of America, an organization that cares so deeply for Thoroughbreds on and off the track,” said Jaime Roth of LNJ Foxwoods. “The passion TCA exemplifies towards improving the lives of Thoroughbreds is easy to support as we feel the same way about our horses. We look forward to continuing our support in the years to come.”
