Linngari heads Dubai cast

Linngari will seek to add to his Feb. 2 Al Rashidiya victory Thursday night when he takes to Nad Al Sheba's one-mile turf course in the $250,000 Al Fahidi Fort.

The 4-year-old Linngari is cutting back from 1 1/8 miles to a mile for the Al Fahidi Fort, a Group 3 prep for the 1 1/8-mile Dubai Duty Free on March 25. Challenging him will be the Al Rashidiya's third-place finisher, Latino Magic, as well as Holiday Camp and Shersha, both of whom were third last time in listed races.

The one Linngari has most to fear is probably Caesar Beware. An Irish-bred gelding, he was an impressive winner in his Nad Al Sheba debut on Feb. 2, when he took a 7 1/2-furlong turf handicap by 3 3/4 lengths.

* Japan will have its strongest-ever contingent at Nad Al Sheba for Dubai World Cup night on March 25. Confirmed are the Japan Cup Dirt and February Stakes winner, Kane Hekili, in the World Cup; the Arima Kinen winner, Heart's Cry, in the Sheema Classic; the Hong Kong Mile winner, Hat Trick, and the Yasuda Kinen winner, Asakusa Den'en, in the Duty Free; plus Flamme de Passion in the UAE Derby.
