Lincoln: An Oklahoma invader

Herecomesthemannow invades from Oklahoma to challenge the speed of Hez Comin Thru in the $15,000 President's Cup Handicap at Lincoln.

Herecomesthemannow, who makes his first start of the year Sunday, met some of the top sprinters in Oklahoma last year. Herecomesthemannow won the Route 66 Stakes at Tulsa, then ran second twice at Remington, in the Silver Goblin to Zee Oh Six and in the Charles Taliaferro to The Niner Account.

Hez Comin Thru comes off a strong prep outing in an upper-level allowance on June 9, when he nearly broke the six-furlong track record established just a week earlier. Trainer Dan Coughlin has named Dennis Collins to ride Hez Comin Thru, who looks for his third win of the meet. This will be his first stakes outing since he finished second to Lali's Cat last year in the Labor Day Handicap at Columbus.

Frogman Henry, an impressive allowance winner at Fonner Park earlier this year, will make his stakes debut in the President's Cup. Frogman Henry is a deep closer, so pace set by Hez Comin Thru and Herecomesthemannow up front should give him a solid chance despite the short stretch here.
