Email

Multiple stakes-placed winner Lightnin N Thunder will stand at Vincent Harris’ Fruitful Acres Farm in Aguanga, Calif. for the 2014 breeding season, for an advertised fee of $2,000.

The 12-year-old son of Storm Cat had previously stood at Front Runner Thoroughbreds in West Alexandria, Ohio.

Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, Lightnin N Thunder won one of four starts for that operation during his racing career and placed in a pair of stakes races for earnings of $68,510.

Lightnin N Thunder has sired seven crops of racing age, led by seven stakes winners. Among his best runners are multiple Korean champion Bulpae Gisang, and stakes winners La Chica Sensual, Ima Jersey Girl, Miss McCall, Feel That Fire, Criolla Bonita, What R the Odds, and Gentle Rain.

Lightnin N Thunder was the only foal produced by the Grade 1-winning Stalwart mare Things Change. Among the stallion’s notable family members are Grade 1 winner Harlan and Grade 2 winner Hero of Order.

Lightnin N Thunder joins Hidden Blessing and Impeachment on the Fruitful Acres stallion roster.
