Libor Lady loves turf

Libor Lady is a much-improved filly since she was tried on the turf.

Winless in the first six starts of her career while racing on the main track, Libor Lady ($9.60) won for the fifth time in six races since she was switched to turf sprints when she led wire to wire to capture the $61,350 Walking in Da Sun Stakes at Delaware Park.

In winning her third straight, Libor Lady finished two lengths in front of 2-1 second choice Anofficerandalady while covering five furlongs on a firm course in 56.63 seconds under her regular rider, Luis Garcia.

In 8 starts since she was claimed out of a maiden race at Gulfstream Park for $40,000 by trainer Mike Pino, the 3-year-old Libor Lady has 5 wins and a second .

Big Cat Walks Late finished third at 10-1. The Linda Rice-trained Lady Rizzi nosed out 12-1 shot Tiger Fever for fourth as the 8-5 favorite.
