Leslie's Love takes inaugural Hallowed Dreams

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Leslie's Love contested the early pace in Sunday's Hallowed Dreams Stakes under confidant handling by regular rider Gerard Melancon before easing away in the stretch to win the inaugural running of the event.

Forty Dolls challenged on the outside turning for home but had to settle for second with Scottish Heritage reporting home third.

Trained by Troy Young for Donald Foret, Leslie's Love ($3.40) covered the six furlongs in 1:11.39 over a fast strip and won by a length and three quarters. The victory was the 7-year-old's 21st of her illustrious career and she has now earned over $620,000.
