Legs O' Neal wins the $50,000 Camelia for Louisiana-bred fillies and mares at Delta Downs on Saturday night.

Legs O' Neal found a race without nemesis Happy Ticket, and led throughout for a three-quarter length win in the $50,000 for Louisiana-bred fillies and mares at Delta Downs on Saturday night. Midnight Delight finished second, six and three-quarter lengths in front of third-place finisher Misty Glo.

Where Is My Daddy, the expected pacesetter, was scratched from the Camelia.

Legs O' Neal ($7) set fractions of 24.60 seconds for the opening quarter and 49.36 seconds for the half-mile mark before finishing the seven furlong race, which was run around two turns, in a time of 1:28.51.

Corey Lanerie rode the winner for trainer Wes Hawley. Legs O' Neal earned $30,000 for the win, which was her fifth from 22 starts. She has now earned $163,897 for owner Dennis Barcelona.
