Laurel track report


Leprechaun's Gold didn't make his career debut until October, but the 3-year-old gelding is making up for lost time and showing that he may have a big future.

Based at Penn National with trainer John Zimmerman, Leprechaun's Gold ($3.80) cruised to a 6 3/4-length victory going seven furlongs against first-level allowance horses on Dec. 3 at Laurel Park. He got a Beyer Speed Figure of 90.

In his previous start, Leprechaun's Gold won his maiden by 10 lengths at Penn National on Nov. 3.

* Your Bluffing is enjoying a career year at age 5. Ridden by Horacio Karamanos for trainer Mike Trombetta, Your Bluffing ($6.80) won his third straight race when he easily defeated high-priced optional claimers in Laurel's eighth race on Nov. 30. He earned a Beyer Figure of 99 while successfully shortening up from one mile to six furlongs.

Your Bluffing is now 12 for 30 lifetime with earnings of $140,150. This year, he is 6 for 10 with a bankroll of $140,150.
