Jet Set Citi wins the $50,000 Smart Halo at Laurel Park on Saturday.

Sent off the 7-5 favorite off a victory in her racing debut, Jet Set Citi made it two in a row by winning the $50,000 Smart Halo at Laurel.

Ridden by Steve Hamilton, Jet Set Citi stalked the pace of Missile Bay through a quarter-mile in 22.76 seconds and a half in 46.43.

As Jet Set Citi drew alongside her in the upper stretch, Missile Bay, with Abel Castellano Jr. riding, drifted wide, taking Jet Set Citi with her six paths out. The two bumped briefly just past the sixteenth pole, after which they dug in for the final yards and dueled to the wire, where Jet Set Citi prevailed by a nose.

Flashy Three, who rallied on the inside but was not getting to the first two finishers, was third, 1 1/2 lengths behind.

Jet Set Citi ($4.80), a son of Unbridled Jet trained by Hamilton Smith for owner Sam Huff, finished the six furlongs in 1:12.70 over a sloppy track.
