Krone, DRF's Hovdey wed

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Jay Hovdey, an executive columnist for Daily Racing Form, and Julie Krone, the retired Hall of Fame jockey, were married Sunday night at the seaside Shutters Hotel. It is the second marriage for both.

The wedding and reception were attended by a number of prominent racing personalities, including jockeys Eddie Delahoussaye, Chris McCarron, Laffit Pincay Jr., and Alex Solis, trainers Ron Ellis, Richard Mandella, Ron McAnally, and the retired Gary Jones, and owners Burt Bacharach and Bob and Beverly Lewis.

Apprentice jockey Kris Prather was the maid of honor. Hovdey's son, Ed, was the best man.
