Kram improved her record to 2 for 2 on Monday, when she darted to a 6 3/4-length win over Touchdown Trojans in the $50,000 Permian Basin at Zia Park. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third to Line of Credit. The Permian Basin, for fillies, was one of two juvenile stakes on the card. Just Call Me Ken ($16.20) won the $50,000 Governor’s Cup. Kram ($4.40) was a blowout winner in her debut, when she rolled by 5 1/4 lengths in a maiden special weight Sept. 11 at Zia. She was always prominent from her rail post Monday, setting fractions of 21.91 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.28 for the half-mile. Kram separated herself from her rivals in the stretch, covering six furlongs on a fast track in 1:11. Roimes Chirinos was aboard for trainer Todd Fincher, who won four races on the card.  Chirinos rode three of those horses Monday.   Kram earned $30,000 for her win for the partnership of Chris Coleman and Brad King. She is a daughter of Colonel John and was a $42,000 purchase out of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. auction of 2-year-olds in training in April. Kram is a half-sister to stakes winners Net Gain, an earner of $334,568, and Cat Five’O. She was bred in Kentucky by Lane Thoroughbreds. Fincher said the name Kram was built using the first letter of the names of the daughters of Coleman and King. Just Call Me Ken rallied down the center of the track to win the six-furlong Governor’s Cup in 1:11.74. He won by  1 3/4 lengths over Bortstein, while it was another neck back in third to Touchdown Redskins. Just Call Me Ken sat back off a contested pace of 22.21 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.73 for the half-mile before rolling past a line of horses in the stretch. Alfredo Juarez Jr., was aboard for JMC Ranches and trainer John Cooper. Just Call Me Ken earned $30,000 for the win, his second from three starts. He is a son of Regal Ransom.
