Kitten's Joy will stand for $50K in 2013, the same fee as this year
Email
Ramsey Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., announced Thursday that champion Kitten’s Joy will stand the 2013 season for $50,000 when the foal stands and nurses, the same fee as in 2012.
Kitten’s Joy is represented by 12 stakes winners and the earners of more than $5.6 million this year. He currently ranks eighth on the North American turf sire list and 15th on the synthetic sire list, after ranking second and third in those respective categories in 2011.
An 11-year-old Ken and Sarah Ramsey homebred by El Prado, Kitten’s Joy won nine of 12 starts in his career, earning $2,065,041, and was voted champion turf male in 2004. He is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Precious Kitten and is from the family of champion Dreaming of Anna, Grade 1 winner and sire Down the Isle, and Grade 2 winner and sire Lewis Michael.
