Kitten's Joy continues at $100,000 for 2015

Leading sire Kitten’s Joy will stand for an unchanged fee of $100,000 in 2015, Ramsey Farm of Nicholasville, Ky., announced on Saturday.

Ramsey Farm will also stand Real Solution, a Grade 1-winning son of Kitten’s Joy, who retires to stud alongside his sire for an advertised fee of $12,500.

Kitten’s Joy, a 13-year-old son of El Prado, was North America’s leading sire of 2013. Progeny of the Ramsey homebred enjoyed a solid Breeders' Cup weekend, with Bobby's Kitten winning the Turf Sprint, Stephanie's Kitten finishing second in the Filly and Mare Turf, and Luck of the Kitten finishing second in the Juvenile Turf. His fee was finalized prior to those performances.

Real Solution finishes his career with five wins in 15 career starts for earnings of $1,374,175. Competing as a homebred, the horse began his career in Italy, where he became a stakes winner, then returned to the U.S., where he won the Grade 1 Arlington Million at age 4 and the Grade 1 Manhattan Stakes at age 5.
