Kentucky to review bet rules

The Kentucky Racing Commission plans to review betting rules and regulations in the state in response to the Breeders' Cup pick six investigation, the commission's chairman, Frank Shoop, said at a commission meeting on Wednesday.

The review will likely take three to six months, Shoop said after the meeting. He said he expects the entire commission to participate, and tracks will also be asked to cooperate. The commission will look at everything from totalizator contracts to uncashed-ticket policies.

"We're not looking for anything in particular," Shoop said. "It's going to be a complete review at all the rules regarding parimutuel wagering in the state. We need to reassure ourselves that everything is okay."
