Consolation was 300. Worse out pay I can remember. Also went against there own ky racing rules if leg a of a pick 3 is official then any scratch in leg b or leg c will get the post time favorite. Like they did for the pick 4 with the 9. They ruined the pool made the payout awful. Churchill did this ten years ago and refunded a pick 4 when leg b of a pick 4 was scratched that was part of a entry that was 1 to 5. The scratch was the better half. Thus causing a severe odds shift on the race, but not on the pick 4 tickets. They originally refunded the tickets, then halted all tickets and decided to payout the winning numbers and ate what they hate refunded before the halt. Cause they had deemed the pick4 a non bet. Directly against ky racing rules. Which they later changed two months later at a stewards meeting into the mess. I have numerous tickets 6-9-16, 6-8-16 I will not cash them until I find the rule book online or their mutual manager will address the situation. This was a total fraud ruling. IF anything consolation should supercede in pick4 not pick3. How can a pick3 and pick4 rule be so vastly different. If anyone has a link to ky racing rule book please post.

Pick three scratches after the first leg are consolations. Pick 4,5,6 scratches after the first leg become the post time favorite. That's been my experience at NY tracks.

The rules are on the Churchill website.

Yea I finally read it last nite. Makes no sense though that it doesn't get transferred to post time favorite. I didn't even know NY did that. It's kinda of stupid where the pick 4 is the opposite, scratch is post time favorite. Makes no sense. If you're protecting betters of late scratches, would have a 50% greater chance just mathematical in pick 4's of a late scratch in it. I know NJ,PA,DE all goto post time favorites.

What a disaster. I get my two bucks back on a 6-9-16 pick three oaks turf derby races.

A disaster yes, but not a refund. The 6-9-16 was a consolation pick three and paid 78.10. If you were told it was a refund only, the teller "dropped" you. Tellers can be jerks, that's why I don't use them. Here is the payoff as reported in my twin spires account: $0.50 Pick-3 6/9/16 3 of 3 $78.10 I know it's true, I had it. I'd find the teller, sorry.

To clarify, the consolation paid 78.10 for .50, your $2.00 ticket would be worth 312.40. I feel bad for you.

Just am baffled by nobody asking why a consolation in pk3 but a conversation in pk4. Pick 3 in ky rule book clearly states if leg a of pick 3 is official then and scratch in leg b or leg c will goto post time favorite, like the pick 4. Same mutual manage made a mistake in 2001. First it should have been 6-89-16 which would have bad 35% higher then cashing on the 8 and a consolation on the 9. Why is no one addressing thisl
