Thunder snow - J boys echo-Always dreaming -Gormley...Gonna box these 4 exacta ,triple & super and hope for the best .....Good luck on your picks!,!
fiorevacc1966 23 days ago
Thunder snow is gonna win this race ,I know whoever wins that big race in Dubai hasn't ever won the Kentucky Derby but this horse just ran his heart out . He took a bad step looked like he was done and came back on again to beat Epicharus ,I think Thunder Snow might have gained a lot of experience in that race and he's gonna need it here. But he has the tools to compete and may Suprise ,Good Luck Thunder Snow!!!

By ranking above I'm boxing the 2,8,14, and 16 every which way I can. And depending on odds I will pick 1 or 2 of these to bet straight. Almost for sure the 14, then the 8.

Watch out for hence to pick up the pieces of this speed dial. Looking at lee will be looking at Hence.

I'm waiting to see if Sonneteer and Looking at Lee get in. They will be my deep closers. Also, the post draw will play a role. I like rail early speed too.

You got your wish.  Todd Pletcher is withdrawing Malagacy and Battaloin Runner from KD.
Going to enter them at Preakness instead,  http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/221292/battalion-runner-malagacy-to-bypass-kentucky-derby

Won big ....hit the Super and Tri twice. The one dollar.
Timothy TJ Trahey 19 days ago
Malagacy and Dreaming will battle it out in Preakness .
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Don't think a horse on the rail has won the Kentucky derby in a long long long time.
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Looking at lee will never get by hence.
Timothy TJ Trahey 19 days ago
You lost then and I'm laughing all the way to the bank .
Timothy TJ Trahey 19 days ago
Way to go Lee ....you won me a bunch of money. And Dreaming of course.
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Last horse to win the derby from the rail winning colors in 1988. The only 2 horses who have won since that were inside the 4 hole were stars REAL QUIET AND BARBARO.
Timothy TJ Trahey 19 days ago
Didn't need him to win but had him to win also in case. Don't pay attention to post just the horse. We won big . I keyed Dreaming and Lee. Four KD in a row now. The rail is actually a good place in my opinion and Lee's trainers thought so too.

Picks let me know what u guys think this field is wide open
1st-classic empire
Had an injury in loss to IWC and looked tough td
2nd-always dreaming
Didn't need the whip to win Florida and live the jockey trainer combo
Inconsistent but finished strong last race out

I also like McCracken tapwrit and thundering snow don't think I'm gunna bet big on one horse just try to hit some juicy supers

the Florida Derby day track was souped up.
so Horses who were near the lead kept going.
6k claimer went 1.22 7 fur
op62knx2 went 1.07 then 1.20 for 7 fur.
That being said how does that look for Geunnevera who had post 11.
The previous race Guennevera had the track would not hold speed thus allowing Guennevera to win by 5.
My point...
draw your conclusions on race day and see how the track is playing.
Speed track
closers track
sloppy track, muddy track, golden rail...etc etc...
all things needed to make a quality decision but most of all...
Have a great day and enjoy...can hardly wait for this great day and all the races that go with it.

IWC has been training to relax and looked great doing so in the Wood. No need for lead.
Classic Empire was all out to win and looked good doing so.
This year is so up and down.
always dreaming ran on a souped up track and beat a nobody horse.
Guennevera could not close on that concrete
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Just try to hit an exacta and you will probably get paid with this wide open field.
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Always dreaming going to need a perfect post with all the speed. At least 8 horses gunning for it. Always dreaming looks nice and looked great in last race but with up to 10 horses gunning for the lead his chances of even hitting the board aren't that great.

Looks like there.s going to be some 40 point horses that won't make it. Last few will get in by earnings.
blueyedhusky 3 months ago
30 points?
JC Arbogast 26 days ago
Never happen. 40 is in.

This list will change a lot in the next month, some bubble horses will get in, more high ranked horses will drop out, figuring a mile and a quarter is beyond their capabilities, and possibly a unknown horse will jump to the top.

As usual .

Thanks Captain for being obvious...
BTW...The sun will rise in the east and set in the west.

This could be the year that Baffert doesn't make it to the Derby.
markmhere 5 months ago
Arrogate kept Baffert busy.

McCracken and Gunevera. Are the top of the 3rd Derby Futures Pool @ 6-1.
Anonymous 4 months ago
Take Gunevera's 3rd place finish with a grain of salt.
Post 11 on a track labelled as concrete.
$6,250 N3L went in 1:22
The first race went in 1:07 to 3/4 mark finishing in 1:20
Jason Young 5 months ago
why isnt Epicharus on the list?
Matthew Kibbey 5 months ago
The owners have indicated they are not going to enter him in the Derby
Matthew Kibbey 5 months ago
The connections have indicated he will not be entered in the Derby. I believe the plan is the Preakness and/or Belmont.
