Suddenbreakingnews,  WILL BE THE BIGGEST BREAKING NEWS ON SUNDAY MORNING AFTER THE DERBY.
This horse is cheap has no major credentials as the top 10, BUT GUARANTEED HE WILL HIT THE BOARD AT DECENT ODDS AND MAY EVEN WIN THIS THING.   YOU HAVE TO GO BEYOND THE OBVIOUS SOMETIMES,   Wasn't there a horse named SUNDAY SILENCE one time,,      HMMM wonder what he did as a 3 years old.?
Suddenbreakingnews , I THIS YEARS BIGGEST SECRET. Watch and learn, He has all the makings of a horse who will peak on the first Saturday in MAY, JUNE, JULY and NOVEMBER!.    exactarace.weebly.com

The Street Cry can though.

Yes they can, but I look at the wood. as a bad bunch of horses. Would be something for a maiden to win it, but not this year. 5 horses have a chance, should be a good pace and someone from behind will win it.

I'll buy that!

The Tapit and the Uncle Mo horses can't make the the mile and a quarter so cross them out!
Dahorsecapper 6 days ago
ever hear of Tonalist  out of Tapit ???? ? he seemed ok at 1mile 1/4 and farther. Wins Belmont at 1mile and 1/2 and of course the Jockey Club twice at the derby distance of 1 mile and 1/4. Tapit's  can do the distance.

Beat a very week field that day, including a very tired Cal. Chrome, had the trifecta that day, would have been better with the Commish on top. The only reason I had Tonalist is my wife's name is Tonya. Wait till Derby Day and see, they can't get the distance.

TAPIT does not have issues with distance .depending on the mare TAPITS  stay as well any other . its temperament .some are headstrong horses that can get wound up .and if they are not bred underneath to get distance. They might waste just enough energy before the race and not  be as effective going a route. Take TONALIST for example he was always a bit inconsistent .his best races were at his home track Belmont. he would be fine there at any distance but at other tracks you never knew how he would run..

why not ?...i understand the fact that these sires have some weak points .like temperament in the case of TAPIT and distance in the case of UNCLE MO , but you have to know that a horses pedigree has 62 horses to the 5th generation .not just a sire. the same argument was made about CALIFORNIA CHROME being poorly bred .that argument now looks silly and i did disagree with it here on various posts pre derby. an in depth look at each horse individually will tell you much more that just knowing who the sire was and throwing out every runner by that sire. BEHOLDER is by sprinter HENNEY HUGHES for example I've made some money betting against those that thought she would not stay. WAR EMBLEM who i did not like was out of sprinter OUR EMBLEM . MR PROSPECTOR was a sprinter who ran 14 times and never won going long. yet many triple crown winners are his descendants

who says i like Nyqvist ?
i put who i have and there on the bubble .you bring up that ridiculous comment about Trojan Nation.
and its funny you bring up Uncle Mo and Tapit .. I couldn't agree more about the distance limitations in breed (believe Me you don't want to try and discuss breed with Me) ..
But if you think you can Im posted up @ the Finish Line every Saturday /Sunday .
and while your at it i will show You my Wins on a horse that Won the Triple crown @ 150/1 / 125/1 and 100/1 ....
Anytime Buddy..

I guess the question is how many horses did the great Indian Charlie sire that could win a top class race at a mile and a quarter or more?  How many has Tapit sired?  More Than Ready?  Once you have taken a look at that, I would like to hear your thoughts.
Dahorsecapper 7 days ago
One horse you can take of your list is TAPIT.

With him being a sire of Tonalist all distance questions about Tapit being a sire who can have a Classic distance winner  should be put to rest.
Tonalist won the Belmont 12 furlongs ,  He won The Jockey club twice 10 furlongs , The Peter Pan 9 furlongs .
Lets take Tapit off that list.

If he can get a clean trip. "MO TOM" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jartaius 9 days ago
In other words, Nyquist will not win the derby.
jartaius 9 days ago
You're wondering why Nyquist is the favorite?  I just told you it was due to the ignorance of the handicappers.
