I hope everyone thinks that way so I can get huge odds on him....

Last year's KD winner had the shortest name in the field: Orb. In this year's KD the winner may have the longest name in California Chrome. 2013, odd year. 2014, even year. These are different angles to look at. Just to point out another angle. GOD and WTC ran way under their best figure after running in Santa Anita. We cannot say the same for California Chrome who ran similar BSF after running on same day as the above mentioned. It's either CC is consistent or Just loves SA track. But since we don't know how CC will perform outside of California, but yet why later say he was the best as He has shown in consistency and fast figures. Win or lose CC has got to be the favorite.

Who was good on Poly...we can eliminate them for the Derby can't we???
whyme More than 1 year ago
Why don't they tell the track surface in a finished race chart???

Another question...if you have 6f-3yo or 1 1/16-4+, which race would have a more likely long shot winner(of course I know all races are different, but maybe as a sometimes rule?)

Love the opinions you guys give...hey, what prep race results have stood up on Derby Day lately???

Very Disapponting Bayern was DQ'ed and now out of the derby, Brian Hernandes is a baby. Rosie won fair and square. If Mike Smith was riding Bayern, do you think hernandes would have made the claim? Probably not unless he wanted 4 knuckles in his face afterword in the locker room.
Meydan Rocks More than 1 year ago
LOL! Hilarious. But seriously, Brian Hernandez will gladly take being called "a baby" if the check he just got for 10% of the winners purse cashes at the bank! ;-)

As I remember it there was a Steward's Inquiry in addition to the jockey objection. It was a no brainer, there was some mutual bumping and then Bayern bore out massively under a left-handed whip.

When the trainer openly admits the strwards made the right call, that should end the conversation.
