Following are horses to watch during Book 1 of the Keeneland September yearling sale, which comprises the first three sessions. Horses were selected based on their pedigrees and past auction results of notable family members. Conformation, veterinarian records, and pedigree updates after deadline were not taken into consideration.

Day 1, Monday
Hip No. 8, gr. or ro. f., Tapit—Unrivaled Belle, by Unbridled’s Song, consigned by Eaton Sales, agent.

The second foal out of Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic winner Unrivaled Belle, who sold for $2.8 million at the 2011 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

Hip No. 30, b. f., Bernardini—Wilshewed, by Carson City, consigned by Valkyre Stud, agent for The Estate of William Currin.
Full brother Gala Award, a Grade 3 winner, was sold for $1.55 million at the 2012 Keeneland September sale. This is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Stormello and Grade 2 winner My Best Brother.

Hip No. 65, b. c., War Front—Along, by Smart Strike, consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
The first foal out of Along, whose dam, the Group 3-winning Irish classic-placed All Too Beautiful, is a full sister to top global sire Galileo.

Grade 1 winner Awesome Maria’s first foal, from the family of Grade 1 winners Pretty Discreet, Discreet Cat, and Discreetly Mine.

Hip No. 116, b. f., War Front—Betterbetterbetter, by Galileo, consigned by Timber Town, agent.
The first foal out of Irish Group 3-placed Betterbetterbetter, who topped the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky select fall mixed sale at $5.2 million.

Hip No. 132, gr. or ro. c., Tapit—Bouquet Booth, by Flower Alley, consigned by Denali Stud, agent.
Grade 3 winner Bouquet Booth’s first foal, from the family of Horse of the Year Havre de Grace, champion sprinter Plugged Nickle, Belmont Stakes winner Tonalist, and multiple Grade 1 winner Riskaverse.

Hip No. 160, ch. c., Galileo—Charge of Angels, by Distorted Humor, consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
The first foal out of the unraced Charge of Angels, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Bluegrass Cat, Grade 2 winners Lord of the Game and Dramedy, stakes winner Sonoma Cat, and Grade 2-placed Cal Nation. Extended family includes champion Rhythm and Grade 1 winner Girolamo.

Hip No. 200, dk. b. or br. f., Medaglia d’Oro—Dance Quietly, by A.P. Indy, consigned by Four Star Sales, agent.
Dance Quietly was a $2 million purchase out of the Edward Evans dispersal at the 2011 Keeneland November sale, and her first foal, The Ref, by Distorted Humor, brought $650,000 as a 2-year-old. The dam is a half-sister to $3 million auction mare Quiet Giant, $2.6 million auction weanling Miss Besilu, and $1.85 million auction mare Quiet Now, all from the Evans dispersal.

A sister to Grade 1 winner and young stallion Creative Cause, from the family of Grade 2 winner Somethingmerry.

Hip No. 240, b. c., Bernardini—Dream Rush, by Wild Rush, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised.
Multiple Grade 1 winner Dream Rush is the dam of Grade 1 winner Dreaming of Julia, stakes winner and young stallion Atreides, and stakes-placed Perchance. The colt’s half-brother by Tapit brought $1.2 million at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 241, Silver Shield, dk. b. or br. c., Medaglia d’Oro—Dream Supreme, by Seeking the Gold, consigned by Lane’s End, agent for Kinsman Farm.
Dream Supreme, a multiple Grade 1 winner, is the dam of Grade 1 winner and sire Majestic Warrior, Grade 3-placed stakes winner Evolutionist, and stakes producers Crystal Current and A. P. Dream. Her two previous foals each brought seven figures: Tour de Force (by Tiznow, $1.35 million) and Gold Shield (by Medaglia d’Oro, $1 million).

Day 2, Tuesday
Hip No. 245, b. c., Medaglia d’Oro—Easter Bunnette, by Carson City, consigned by Mill Ridge Sales, agent.

A half-brother to 2011 Horse of the Year Havre de Grace and two seven-figure yearlings: Tizavision (by Tiznow, $1.7 million) and Brabbham (by Bernardini, $1.2 million).

Hip No. 277, gr. or ro. c., Distorted Humor—Forest Music, by Unbridled’s Song, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Stonestreet Bred & Raised.
Grade 2 winner Forest Music has had three foals go through the sales ring as yearlings. Maclean’s Music, a young Kentucky stallion and full brother to this colt, was an RNA at $900,000; Sonoma County, by Street Cry, brought $1.2 million; and Grade 3 winner Kentuckian sold for $610,000.

Hip No. 282, dk. b. or br. f., Medaglia d’Oro—Foxy Danseur, by Mr. Greeley, consigned by Clearsky Farm, agent.
Tathqeef, a half-brother by Tapit, brought $1.1 million at last year’s Keeneland September sale, while Fidelity, an A.P. Indy filly, sold for $1.1 million at the 2013 Fasig-Tipton Florida juvenile sale.

Hip No. 302, b. f., Galileo—Golden Ballet, by Moscow Ballet, consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
Drosselmeyer, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Classic and Belmont Stakes, is a half-brother to this Irish-bred filly, as is Grade 1-placed stakes winner Stage Luck.

Hip No. 303, b. f., War Front—Gold Vault, by Arch, consigned by Claiborne Farm, agent.
Multiple Grade 1 winner Contested is a half-sister to this filly, while Grade 2-placed stakes winner Mosler and English Group 2-placed Air Vice Marshal are full brothers. The latter two brought $1.05 million and $2.2 million as yearlings.

Hip No. 332, Frankly Speaking, ch. c., Frankel—India, by Hennessy, consigned by Lane’s End, agent.
From the first crop of undefeated two-time European Horse of the Year Frankel, this colt is from the family of stakes winner Pilfer, the dam of Grade 1 winners To Honor and Serve and Angela Renee, as well as Grade 1-placed stakes winner Elnaawi.

Hip No. 350, gr. or ro. f., Tapit—Jera, by Jeblar, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
Multiple Grade 1 winner Jeranimo is a half-brother to this filly, as are stakes-placed runners Wealthy Aviator and Tizthen. Jera’s most recent yearling offered at auction, Fourth Watch, by Tapit, brought $600,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

The first foal out of multiple Grade 3 winner Keertana, who sold for $1 million at the 2013 Keeneland January horses-of-all-ages sale. Keertana is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Diversy Harbor and Grade 3 winner Snow Top Mountain.

Hip No. 384, b. c., Tapit—Last Full Measure, by Empire Maker, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
The first foal out of Grade 1 winner Last Full Measure, who sold for $1.5 million at last year’s Keeneland November sale. The second dam is multiple Grade 1 winner Lazy Slusan.

Hip No. 414, b. c., Malibu Moon—Lotta Kim, by Roar, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
A half-brother to 2009 Horse of the Year and newly minted Grade 1 producer Rachel Alexandra.

Hip No. 428, gr. or ro. f., Tapit—Magical Feeling, by Empire Maker, consigned by Birdie Harrison, agent for Peter E. Blum Thoroughbreds.
Grade 2 winner Magical Feeling’s first foal, the Tapit colt Exulting, sold for $500,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 436, b. c., Bernardini—Mamma Kimbo, by Discreet Cat, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Aaron & Marie Jones LLC.
The first foal out of Grade 2 winner Mamma Kimbo, who sold for $1.2 million at the 2013 Fasig-Tipton November sale.

Hip No. 443, b. f., Fastnet Rock—Maryinsky, by Sadler’s Wells, consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
Maryinsky is the dam of European champion and graded stakes producer Peeping Fawn and French Group 1 winner Thewayyouare. This yearling’s second dam is Blush With Pride, who is the pivot point for Broodmare of the Year Better Than Honour and her foals champion Rags to Riches, Belmont Stakes winner Jazil, Breeders’ Cup Marathon winner Man of Iron, and Grade 2 winner Casino Drive.

Hip No. 452, b. f., Bodemeister—Mining My Own, by Smart Strike, consigned by Betz Thoroughbreds, agent.
Mining My Own is the dam of Kentucky Derby winner and Canadian champion Mine That Bird and multiple Grade 1 winner Dullahan. The filly is from the first crop of Bodemeister.

Hip No. 462, b. f., War Front—Misty For Me, by Galileo, consigned by Four Star Sales, agent.
Irish classic winner Misty For Me’s first foal, by Fastnet Rock, brought $450,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale. She is from the family of European champion Fasliyev.

Hip No. 465, b. f., War Front—Mona de Momma, by Speightstown, consigned by Lane’s End, agent.
The first foal out of Grade 1 winner Mona de Momma, who sold for $1.55 million at the 2011 Fasig-Tipton November sale.

Hip No. 475, b. c., Lemon Drop Kid—Motokiks, by Storm Cat, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for JSM Equine LLC.
Motokiks is the dam of Grade 2 winner Diversy Harbor and multiple Grade 3 winners Keertana and Snow Top Mountain. The latter two each brought $950,000 or more at auction as broodmares.

Day 3, Wednesday
Hip No. 511, b. f., Bernardini—Pilfer, by Deputy Minister, consigned by Gainesway, agent.

A full sister to Grade 1 winners To Honor and Serve and Angela Renee and a half-sister to Grade 1-placed stakes winner Elnaawi. Full brother Billion Star sold for $750,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 514, Plum Amazing, ch. c., Distorted Humor—Plum Pretty, by Medaglia d’Oro, consigned by Timber Town, agent.
The first foal out of Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty, who sold for $4.2 million at the 2012 Keeneland November sale. The family includes Grade 1 winner Secret Hello, Grade 2 winner Silent Account, and Grade 3 winner Conveyance.

Hip No. 522, gr. or ro. f., Tapit—Pretty ’n Smart, by Beau Genius, consigned by VanMeter-Gentry Sales, agent.
Grade 2-placed Pretty ’n Smart is the dam of Grade 3 winners Heart Ashley and Ashley’s Kitty as well as stakes winner Indianapolis. Her previous two foals were by Tapit, with the colt Dream Team bringing $1 million at the 2013 Keeneland September sale and a colt selling for $900,000 last year.

Hip No. 530, ch. c., Tapit—Pure Clan, by Pure Prize, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
Multiple Grade 1 winner Pure Clan is the dam of three foals, including Paschali, a Bernardini filly who brought $850,000 at this year’s Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. March sale of 2-year-olds in training. Pure Clan changed hands for $4.5 million at the 2012 Keeneland November sale.

Hip No. 538, dk. b. or br. f., War Front—Questress, by Seeking the Gold, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
Questress is the dam of Grade 1 winner and sire Pomeroy as well as Gold Vault, who has produced multiple Grade 1 winner Contested and Grade 2-placed seven-figure War Front colts Mosler and Air Vice Marshal. Full brother U S Navy Seal sold for $800,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 548, b. c., Frankel—Reaching, by Dansili, consigned by Man O War Farm, agent for Reiko and Michael Baum.
A member of the Frankel’s first crop and the first foal out of the placed dam, who is out of English Group 1-placed Maryinsky, whose produce includes European champion Peeping Fawn and Group 1 winner Thewayyouare. The colt’s third dam is Blush With Pride, whose top offspring is Broodmare of the Year Better Than Honour.

Hip No. 549, gr. or ro. c., Tapit—Reach The Stars, by Galileo, consigned by Eaton Sales, agent for Don Alberto Corporation.
The second foal out of the winning mare Reach The Stars, who sold for $850,000 at the 2013 Keeneland November sale. The dam is a half-sister to Gala Performance, who sold for $2 million at the 1999 Keeneland July yearling sale.

Hip No. 555, b. f., War Front—Refugee, by Unaccounted For, consigned by Eaton Sales, agent.
Grade 1 winners Executiveprivilege and Hoppertunity are half-siblings to this filly, as is Cowboy’s Hero, a Cowboy Cal colt who hammered for $550,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July yearling sale. The third dam is champion Davona Dale.

Hip No. 560, gr. or ro. c., Tapit—Rhumb Line, by Mr. Greeley, consigned by Timber Town, agent.
The Tapit-Rhumb Line mating has produced multiple Grade 1 winner Zazu, Grade 2 winner Flashback, the $1.6 million juvenile Farraj, and Navigating, who was a $975,000 RNA at last year’s Keeneland September sale. Rhumb Line is also the dam of stakes winner Corinthian’s Jewel and Group 2-placed stakes producer Art Princess.

An Irish-bred colt from the first crop of Frankel and out of the unraced Rose of Summer, dam of Grade 1 winner Laragh and Grade 2 winner Summer Front.

Hip No. 594, Gale Force, ch. f., Giant’s Causeway—Sealy Hill, by Point Given, consigned by Gainesway, agent for Regis Farms LP.
Canadian Horse of the Year Sealy Hill is the dam of Grade 2 winner Hillaby and stakes winner Belle Hill. True Elegance, a Distorted Humor filly, hammered for $500,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 612, b. c., Tiznow—Silken Cat, by Storm Cat, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent for Aaron & Marie Jones LLC.
Champion sprinter and top sire Speightstown is a half-brother to this colt, as are seven-figure yearlings Cableknit (by Unbridled’s Song, $1.7 million), Gone Purrfect (by Gone West, $1.5 million), and Tigerline (by Unbridled’s Song, $1.4 million). The colt is a full brother to Amour d’Ete, who sold for $1.75 million at the 2013 Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 614, gr. or ro. c., Tapit—Silver Colors, by Mr. Greeley, consigned by Gainesway, agent.
Tapping Colors, a full sister to this colt, brought $700,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale. The second dam is champion Winning Colors.

Hip No. 628, b. f., Medaglia d’Oro—Snow Top Mountain, by Narjan, consigned by Brookdale Sales, agent for Audley Farm Equine LLC.
The second foal out of multiple Grade 3 winner Snow Top Mountain, who sold for $950,000 at the 2013 Keeneland January sale. The filly is from the family of Group 1 winner Knifebox, Grade 2 winner Diversy Harbor, and Grade 3 winners Keertana and Parochial.

Hip No. 643, ch. c., Street Cry—Speed Succeeds, by Gone West, consigned by Timber Town, agent.
A half-brother to Grade 1 winner and young sire Brilliant Speed, as well as Grade 2-placed stakes winner Souper Speedy. His page includes Canadian Horse of the Year With Approval, Canadian champion Serenading, and Grade 1 winner Touch Gold.

Hip No. 652, ch. f., Giant’s Causeway—Star Billing, by Dynaformer, consigned by Lane’s End, agent for Mt. Brilliant Farm.
The first foal out of Grade 1 winner Star Billing, who sold carrying this filly for $2.6 million at the 2013 Keeneland November sale. Second dam Topliner brought $1.4 million at the 2012 Keeneland January sale, and the family includes multiple Grade 1 winners Stellar Jayne and Starrer.

Hip No. 682, b. c., Distorted Humor—Supercharger, by A.P. Indy, consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales Agency, agent.
Kentucky Derby winner and young sire Super Saver is a half-brother to this colt, and Grade 3 winner Brethren is a full brother. He is also a half-brother to the $1.2 million Superfection and $1.7 million Cyrus Alexander.

Hip No. 683, b. f., Tapit—Super Espresso, by Medaglia d’Oro, consigned by Stone Farm, agent.
The dam’s first foal, Tapit filly Espresso Time, sold for $1 million at last year’s Keeneland September sale. Super Espresso herself was a $1.1 million yearling in 2008.

The colt’s dam, Tashzara, is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner and sire Excelebration, multiple Group 3 winner Mull of Killough, and multiple stakes winner Shivalik Showers.

Hip No. 718, b. f., Street Cry—Tizso, by Cee’s Tizzy, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent.
A product of one of the most bountiful branches of the Cee’s Tizzy-Cee’s Song cross, producing Grade 1 winner and young sire Paynter, Grade 3 winner Tiz West, and stakes winner Tizakitty. Full brother Chivalrous sold for $1 million at the 2012 Keeneland September sale.

Hip No. 721, b. f., Street Cry—Treasure Trail, by Pulpit, consigned by Eaton Sales, agent for Edward A. Cox Jr.
The filly’s second dam is Broodmare of the Year Vertigineux, making her closely bred to Treasure Trail’s half-sister, 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta. Half-brother Long Island Sound sold for $800,000 as a weanling at the 2013 Keeneland November sale.
