Lady Eli, left, wins the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational. She is entered to sell at the Keeneland November sale.

The Keeneland November breeding stock sale is one of the major fall mixed sales held shortly following the Breeders’ Cup, and it is notable for top mares who head straight from the races to the sale grounds and horses who earn major catalog updates throughout the month of October. The following are Keeneland November hips to watch with recent catalog updates, selected based on their ontrack performance and pedigree. Conformation and veterinarian records were not taken into consideration. The Keeneland sale runs Tuesday, Nov. 8, through Sunday, Nov. 20.

Hip No. 125, Azara (More Than Ready – Life Happened, by Stravinsky), consigned by Three Chimneys, agent

This mare’s family was extremely active over the weekend as champion Tepin, her half-sister, was second in the Grade 1 First Lady Stakes at Keeneland in preparation for a defense of her Breeders’ Cup Mile title. Half-brother Vyjack stamped his ticket to the Breeders’ Cup by winning the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile at Santa Anita. Azara sells in foal to Into Mischief, the sire of Vyjack.

Hip No. 466, Lady Eli (Divine Park – Sacre Coeur, by Saint Ballado), consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales, agent

She will look to complete the remarkable story of her return from laminitis in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. In addition to her racing record, Lady Eli is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Bizzy Caroline.

Hip No. 1111, You Bought Her (Graeme Hall – Striking T, by Smart Strike), consigned by Brookdale Sales, as agent for Richard Perkins and Hinsley Racing

Hip 2305, Uptown Twirl (Twirling Candy – Sambuca Classica, by Cat Thief), consigned by Lane’s End, agent
