Keeneland November catalog available online

The catalog for the 2015 Keeneland November breeding stock sale is now available online, featuring 4,476 offerings.

The 12-day sale will be held Nov. 2-13, beginning two days after the track hosts the Breeders’ Cup. The sale’s first two sessions, which comprise Book 1, will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern, while the remaining sessions will start at 10 a.m.

“The intention of hosting the Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland is to bring greater attention to Central Kentucky – the center of the Thoroughbred breeding industry in North America – and, therefore, by its proximity, be of direct benefit to the November Sale,” said Keeneland president and CEO Bill Thomason.

Print catalogs will be mailed the week of Oct. 12.

This year’s catalog features 2,610 broodmares and broodmare prospects, 1,719 weanlings, 130 horses of racing age, and 17 stallions and stallion prospects.

Horses of racing age will be offered on Monday, Nov. 9 and Tuesday, Nov. 10, including the annual consignment of WinStar Racing, agent.

The sale will also feature the 41-horse dispersal of Nat Rea’s Regis Farm, consigned as agent by Three Chimneys Farm, and the 42-horse dispersal of the late Jerre Paxton’s Northwest Farms, consigned by Greenfield Farm, agent.
