Keeneland Association has reached an agreement to become an “official partner” of the Eclipse Awards ceremony, scheduled for Jan. 19 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Fla., the event’s organizers announced on Thursday.
Under the agreement, any connections that recipients of Eclipse Awards have to Keeneland will be announced during the ceremony, the organizers said. For example, if a horse nominated for an Eclipse Award was sold at a Keeneland auction, that sale will be announced.
The agreement will also include signage at Eclipse-themed events in the week leading up to the ceremony, the release from the organizers said.
The Eclipse Awards are presented by Daily Racing Form, the Breeders' Cup, and the Stronach Group. Along with Keeneland, other official partners of the Eclipse Awards include Adequan, Besilu Stables, Kendall-Jackson, NOA Watches, and Roberts Communications. The ceremony will be broadcast live on HRTV and on DRF.com.

SLIGO JOE finished third, fourth, or fifth against classier company in each of his last four races. He ran fast enough in his last two starts to beat this type on the plunge from $10,000 optional claiming into this $5,000 N1Y field. LATCH LIGHTING only finished fifth as the favorite at this class level last time. He should be a factor today, but he seems more likely to contend in the minor exotic slots than he is to beat this field. STEALTH HERO ran a dull race when he beat just one opponent here on a muddy track in his last race.
