Analysis:
Opening Day at Keeneland is always a special event and the initial baby race of the meeting features several win-early barns.  Wesley Ward may be holding all the aces with his coupled entry.  GANGSTERONTHERUN is bred both sides for speed and Ward won a pair of baby races last spring at Keeneland.  The City Zip gelding shows a bullet workout at Palm Meadows and may be a quick one.
Entrymate SWEET WILLIAM breezed one-fifth of a second slower than Gangsterontherun on March 23 at Palm Meadows before firing a bullet over the local polytrack surface six days later.  There is a ton of speed on the top of his pedigree.
NACHO MAN shows some long workouts in preparation for his career debut, but trainer David Pate is 0 for his last 22 and 1 for his last 49 (according to Formulator Web statistics) with debut runners.  Perhaps this colt will improve with more distance.
WETZEL is by a very precocious sire and the Asmussen barn is one of the best in sending out debut winners.  The March 13 workout looks pretty interesting so don't be surprised if this one can scoot a bit.
SPEED DEMON is by a promising first-crop sire out of a dam that earned three Beyer Speed Figures of 90 and higher during her career.  This barn wins first-out, but Speed Demon must escape the tricky inside post position and doesn't show a published workout in the last 15 days (as of this writing).  WEEKEND WILDCAT shows some quick works over the local surface.  GOLD FOR CASH may improve with added distance and experience.  DOUBLE DOWN BROWN shows solid workout times over the Classic Mile dirt track, but draws a tough assignment here.
