Analysis:
Trainer Wesley Ward swept both baby races here last week by a combined 17 1/4 lengths and he has an uncoupled entry in today's dash.  HANDSOME JACK is by top debut sire Bring the Heat (the sire of nine-length winner Skylander last week) and the dam has already foaled three sprint winners.  The gelding must break alertly from the inside post, but the Ward babies usually get out of there quick.  THE ROOFER is the first starter by Fairbanks, a long-winded son of Giant's Causeway that won the Grade 2 Hawthorne Gold Cup at ten furlongs.  The dam has already foaled Peace Town, an eight-length debut winner at two that went on to take a sprint stakes race.
I'MGONNAKNOCKUOUT has the experience edge over his opponents as he raced here last week against Skylander.  Although no match for the winner, he finished in the pack battling it out for minor awards.  His sire has done well with inexperienced juveniles from a limited sample.
NAILS IN THE FENCE is the first starter by Heatseeker, the winner of the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap on synthetic at ten furlongs with a 110 Beyer.  Heatseeker was also precocious enough to win his first two starts sprinting on turf in Ireland.
FITZ IS DANCING is a half-brother to Cat and a Half, a second-out winner that was stakes-placed going down the hill at Santa Anita.  There are some speed influences on the bottom of the pedigree.
READY SET WHOA is the first starter by Ready's Image, a debut winner here at 4 1/2 furlongs over the polytrack back in 2007.  Ready's Image also won the Grade 2 Sanford Stakes going six furlongs at two on dirt with a 105 Beyer. Both of trainer Dwight Preston's juvenile starters at this meet finished second at big prices.
JOHA is bred to go long on the grass, but he shows a sharp half-mile gate work for very dangerous connections.
I'MBOUNDTOSCORE's dam won on grass and this colt could do better with a surface switch down the road.
PURGE TO PURGE's sire doesn't do very well with debuting juveniles, but there is a ton of class on the bottom of this pedigree.
ALLS IM SAYING is by a sire that is 0-37 with juvenile debut performers.
