K P Wildcat won her third straight race Monday, when she overtook pacesetter Super Humor and went on to a 4 3/4-length victory over that one in the $50,000 Chaves County at Zia Park. It was another 7 1/2 lengths back to Diez Dancer in third. The Chaves County was a one-mile race for fillies and mares. K P Wildcat ($4.60) tracked the pace set by Super Humor, who put up fractions of 24.68 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.49 for the half-mile and 1:13.11 for six furlongs. K P Wildcat took the lead in the stretch and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:38.86. Roimes Chirinos was aboard for trainer Weston Martin. K P Wildcat began her win streak in March, in the $100,000 Harry Henson Handicap at Sunland Park. Following a layoff, she then won an optional $20,000 claiming race on Sept. 1 at Ruidoso Downs. For the win in the Chaves County, K P Wildcat earned $30,000. She has now won 8 of 13 starts and has earnings of $328,636.  K P Wildcat is a daughter of Include and she races for Karl Pergola.
