Jockey signing benefits Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund

Angel Cordero Jr. and Laffit Pincay Jr. are two of 10 Hall of Fame riders and 16 jockeys overall who will participate in an autograph signing here Saturday to benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.

Billed as “Jockey Legends Day,” a group of jockeys comprised of Cordero, Pincay, Ron Turcotte, Jean Cruguet, Ramon Dominguez, Eddie Maple, Chris McCarron, Richard Migliore, Randy Romero, Jean-Luc Samyn, Nick Santagata, Robbie Davis, Jose Santos, Manny Ycaza, Jacinto Vasquez, and Jorge Velasquez will sign autographs from noon to 1 p.m. outside the jockeys’ silks room. A one-time donation of $10 is required, and the proceeds go to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.

There also will be a red-carpet ceremony on the track between the fifth and sixth races, during which all 16 jockeys will be introduced.
