Jockey Rose hires new agent

Email

Jockey Jeremy Rose, winner of the 2005 Preakness and Belmont Stakes aboard Afleet Alex and one of the perennial leading riders in the Mid-Atlantic region, has decided to change agents and has hired Mark Mace.

Rose, who returned recently from a 90-day suspension for misuse of the whip, was second behind Ramon Dominguez in the rider standings at Delaware Park when he was suspended in late May and has 43 wins at the current stand. Plans call for Rose to ride primarily at Philadelphia Park this winter.
