Jockey Club Certificates of Foal Registration going digital

The Jockey Club’s Certificates of Foal Registration will make the transition from hard copies to digital, beginning with the 2018 foaling season.

Breeders, and those acting as agents for breeders, must sign up for an Interactive Registration account on The Jockey Club’s website to register their foals.

“We encourage those who manage Certificates of Foal Registration to sign up for an Interactive Registration account between now and early 2018 if they have not already done so,” said Matt Iuliano, executive vice president and executive director of The Jockey Club. “The use of digital foal certificates will allow foal papers to be easily transferred between entities at the click of a button, and we are looking forward to implementing this much-needed change.”

In a release, The Jockey Club stated that more information about digital foal certificates would be made available in early 2018, before the program is officially launched in the spring.

The move to digital foal certificates was announced by the breed organization during the 2016 Jockey Club Round Table Conference on Matters Pertaining to Racing.
