Jls Dash N Fire edges Ima Gone Reba in Laddie Futurity

Jls Dash N Fire earned a head win over Ima Gone Reba in the $266,140 Laddie Futurity for Quarter Horses on Saturday night at Delta Downs.

The Laddie was restricted to horses bred in Louisiana. The Cazador, who had the fastest qualifying time for the race, was scratched from the restricted Grade 2.

Jls Dash N  Fire ($6.60) covered 330 yards on a fast track in 16.83 seconds. Noe Castaneda was aboard for T M Ranch and trainer Kenneth Roberts. Jls Dash N Fire was the second-fastest qualifier for the Laddie. He is a son of Heza Fast Dash.

The $322,285 Lassie on Friday night was won in an upset by Dashnunder Afullmoon ($59.40). The Quarter Horse race was for fillies bred in Louisiana. It also was a restricted Grade 2.

Dashnunder Afullmoon rallied for a head win, covering 330 yards in 16.64 seconds. Eddie Sanchez was aboard for his father, trainer Jose Sanchez. Dashnunder Afullmoon races for Rogelio Marquez, Jr. Like the Laddie winner Jls Dash N Fire, Dashnunder Afullmoon is by the stallion Heza Fast Dash.
